    Hi Everybody,

I cannot find anything that has changed for this weekend's update. I will update the Leeds BS entry next weekend, by which time they should have launched the new issue of their regular savings account.

I will do another update next weekend.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to open the Leeds BS Issue 6 if I already have an Issue 5? From what I can see online you can't have more than one of the same issue, but it doesn't say anything about different issues so that should be ok?

We will have to wait and see what the T and Cs of the Issue 6 say. However I have Issues 3, 4 and 5 all going at the moment (Issue 3 doesn't accept new monthly payments but is paying 2.3% on the accumulated balance until 31 October 2017, when I will close it).

Thanks Hattie. Fingers crossed they haven't changed things in this issue then.

I fully expect that Issue 6 will be on the same terms as Issue 5. When Issue 5 was launched, there was a comment on here from someone to the effect that they had heard at a visit to a Leeds Branch that Leeds are set on going down the route of Virgin Money with regard to regular savers (new issues at fairly short intervals apart, with savers being allowed to open each new issue).

... but perhaps not the Manchester United freebies?!

I have issue 4 and 5, I closed down issue 3, as I needed funds to pay into Virgin, so yes you can have each issue.

Easiest way to do so is to log online and open new account then contact them to send you out a passbook if you want one.

Issue 5 hasn't lasted long, I only had one month paid in.

Bah, opened a Leeds RS 6 within online banking - noted the T&C's were still showing issue 5.

Then checked the issue 6 link from the savings page when logged out:-
"Please note that you cannot open a Regular Saver (Issue 6) if you already have a Regular Saver (Issue 5)."

    Bah!
If they want to set these petty restrictions, why oh why don't they program their IT systems to enforce them.

Will wait a few days to see if they close it!
