    OK,applied for both..

As for payments in..can't you pay in £250 manually today and then 11x£250 by SO starting 22nd June ?

Btw,sent two payments to the flexible saver on Saturday £1 each, one just with ref no,one with ref no and surname ( with a space between ref no and surname ) and both payments showed up on my account some time after 9am today.

Applied for 1 x ISA and 2 x RS. Got confirmation ref. Nos for the 3 a/cs, but only 2 (1 x ISA and 1 x RS) showing up on online banking, so it looks ? as though they will only allow 1 x RS. Each a/c has an 7 digit ACCOUNT No rather than the 9 digit REFERENCE No.
Will fund the two I have and see if the 2nd RS a/c 'turns up'

    OK Reg saver opened...

But all account nos only have 7 nos....need 8

Are people just using ref nos to deposit money in Flex Saver or Reg Saver
  • My RS account is both funded and appearing in my list of accounts. I went down the route of transferring funds from my Flexible Saver this morning. The Flexible Saver was funded last week in readiness for the RS launch. All in all Ford Money reacted quickly in my case but there may have been a lot of applications today.

Regarding the postings concerning surname addition. I can advise that 2 of my payments to the Flexible account namely first test (application number) + follow fully fund (account number) up did not have my surname but were both processed in the same day. I did add my surname to a third payment. I had simply not noticed the surname request.

I think you will need to use the generic bank account name and number 63604551, sort code 20 32 53 to make deposits. Then you would insert the seven digit account number in the reference box, along with your surname.

    Taken from: https://www.fordmoney.co.uk/help/saving-with-ford-money/making-a-deposit
Reference: Your seven-digit account number followed by your surname. Note that if you wish to make an initial deposit immediately after your application has been accepted and before we have provided you with your account number, you should instead quote your nine digit application reference followed by your surname.

Hi ya, what made you think you could open 2 RS accounts?

Have opened a RS for myself and the wife - all easy and confirmed.

We really are in 2 minds whether to open the ISA account. It will only allow a max of £3K out of a potential £20K, what if someone offers a good ISA account where you could put your £20K allowance. You will be stuck so not sure what to do? Any thoughts anyone?

I can't see anyone offering a 4% ISA in the current climate, the only reason the Ford rate is high is because it's only being offered for a year/is set up as a regular saver.

If you like taking a little bit of risk in life, try opening a second account in your name and see what happens...

I'm going to give it a go...what's the worst that can happen! (I'm hoping the worst thing that could happen is they say 'no' to the other account.)
