    My pigeon has only approx 70 miles to fly, assuming he uses the same route as his crow buddies;)

    He must have stopped for some R&R en route:o

    The Hanley web site now shows that the Home Deposit Saver can now only be opened in branch.


    I opened mine by post in March.

    Yes, no requirement to fund via SO, I pay mine by cheque in the post.

    Only requirements is to pay into the account monthly minimum of £50 including operating balance, maximum £250 a month.

    It can but what benefit do you get from doing this as it's not a fixed term account?

    Almost one months extra interest on just £250, I'd say! So it's a very small benefit.
