The Dudley BS One Year Regular Saver 2 paying 2.9% has been replaced with issue 3 paying 2.5% but the maximum monthly payment has increased from £250 to £4000

Presumably some people here have had M&S Monthly Savers maturing recently, as it became available just over a year ago. However, it appears that there are now extra conditions for eligibility for the account. You have to have two active direct debits and have switched using the switching service. Has anyone managed to open another account without meeting those requirements?0

I thought that only applied to new current account holders from this month - not existing account holders. HSBC have no such requirement and nor do First Direct - which are more or less the same product albeit FD allow £300 a month rather than £250.0 -
I have just opened a new monthly saver and was not asked to set up direct debits so agree with previous poster that requirement does not seem to apply to existing account holders.0

Has anyone heard any rumours what might be replacing it?
At £750 per month for 18 months at a rate of 4.5% it really was a smashing product.
Does anyone know the maturity date of this account?
Is it 18 months from account opening or is there a specific date when all accounts reach maturity?
Thanks in advance.0 -

31/03/16 is in my spreadsheet and am pretty certain that's correct.0 -
Hi Folks,
I have updated the Dudley BS One Year Regular Saver account with the issue 3 details.
I cannot find anything else that has changed for this weekend's update.
I will do another update next weekend.
