Was just about to open an HSBC Regular Saver but noticed they say on their website that you cannot manage the account online. I understand that but can someone tell me if the account will be "visible" online once I log-in to Internet Banking (so I can e.g. at least see what's the balance on the account?) or is it not visible at all online and I would have to phone to check the balance?0

Yes, you can see the account online and see all the payments which have gone into the account.0

Hi Everybody,
Thanks to veryintrigued, I have added the Nottingham BS Savvy Saver account to post 7 on the first page of this thread.
I cannot find anything else that has changed for this weekend's update.
I will do another update next weekend.

How long does it take to open an HSBC Regular Saver? I applied on-line 6 days ago and the account still hasn't been opened...0
-
Also a shame that the Nottingham one can only be opened in branch - the travel costs would probably outweigh the interest for me.0

I did and they said that they are very busy, apologised and said the account will be opened the next day however it was not, so I phoned again - same story. I gave up after the 3rd phone call when I got same explanation all over again. Eventually the account was opened - 10 days after I originally applied for it.MarkFromMullion wrote: »That's not normal. It shouldn't take more than 24 hours. I recommend you phone them.
HSBC is a joke - just have a read through this topic about problems people are having with opening an account with them for the switching incentive...0 -

So the Chorley 18 month Sunshine account only has another two months to run.
Has anyone heard any rumours what might be replacing it?
At £750 per month for 18 months at a rate of 4.5% it really was a smashing product.0 -
I'm not holding my breath for anything comparable, but it was good while it lasted
Doesn't look as if Chorley have realised the FSCS limit is now £75k:cool:
