    Hi Everybody,

    Hi Folks,

Just a quick post to let you know that Barclays have cut the rate on Monthly Savings accounts opened from yesterday onwards - now paying 3.20% gross monthly (3.25% gross AER). I have updated my entry for this account on the first page of this thread accordingly.

  • Hi Everybody,

I have checked through everything and apart from the Barclays Monthly Saver interest rate decrease (see post above), I cannot find anything that has changed in the last week.

I will do another update next weekend.

Rules me out but have been very pleased with their service on my savings accounts to date.

Just checked the website - sadly you need to have been a member for 15 years to get the 5% rate but it's still 4.7% for members 2 years+ which is quite good.

    15 years + 5.00% 10 years + 4.90% 5 years + 4.80% 2 years + 4.70%.
  • Hi Folks,

There is only thing that I can find which is changed for this weekend's update - the Loughborough BS Regular Savers +3 account was withdrawn from close of business on 26th March according to emoneyfacts.

I will do another update next weekend.

    Hi Everybody,

There is only one change that I can find for this weekend's update. Manchester BS has launched a regular savings ISA paying 4% p.a. on £100 - £425 per month. See the Manchester BS website for more details. It has already been added to the regular savings section of Kazza's excellent ISA thread.

I will do another update next weekend.

I hope you all have a great Easter weekend!

    Principality have launched a £20 - £425 4% RS ISA which is fixed - Manchester's is variable.
I've added it to Kazza's thread

    Hi Folks,

    Here is this weekend's update.

As interest rates on general savings accounts have been slipping downwards, I have updated the list on the first page of this thread to include a few more accounts. The third best instant access account on Martin's Top Savings Accounts page pays 2.75% so I have now included regular savings accounts which pay more than 2.75%. I have added the following accounts:

    Post 2 (no maturity date):

Nottingham BS (3.1% on £250 per month)
Leeds BS (3.05% on £500 per month)
Vernon BS (3% on £500 per month, locals only)
Yorkshire BS (3% on £250 per month)

Post 4 (account matures or interest rate drops after 12 months)

Market Harborough BS (2.95% on £2,500 per month)
    - although the interest rate drops after 12 months, it is still a fairly respectable 2.45%, maximum balance £50,000 (it would take you 20 months to reach this level)

If I have missed any regular savings accounts paying more than 2.75% then let me know.

I will do another update next weekend.
