badmemory said:I blame the teachers! No seriously. Anyone with an iota of common sense would know that it is totally impossible to make under 21s socially distance for any length of time. Surprise surprise kids go back to school/uni & rates go up. To me the biggest shock is that rates haven't gone up even more. I thought it interesting how many of those tested in Liverpool that had no symptoms at all actually tested positive. Makes the "only test those with symptoms" a bit pointless.Hope your session in isolation turns out to be just chill time rather than ill time. Try not to allow your mind to make you think you are ill.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I think Badmemory was being sarcastic
Last night I did feel rough but tonight I feel pretty normal. Had a nice day sorting house plants in the garden. Some have died whilst being outside but some have flourished. It was nice to find them all again (I put them outside for the summer and normally bring them in at half term but was totally knackered this time so didn't.)
Tomorrow I need to sort work for school and then do the shed. I am trying to see this as an opportunity to get stuff done. I feel bad about missing work but there is nothing else to be done.

One slight issue, work owes me money and I have about 4 returns to make to dear old Amazon. Up to a point it is ok cos I have the time in terms of the returns, it is just the shiny cash I need.... haven't done a thing for the big C not a thing. Still get paid soon. Must not panic.

Sorry if anyone misunderstood - I forget that people can't hear your tone when you type. I was harking back to a few months ago when they were indeed blaming the teachers for schools not being open. They will soon be blaming them for the schools actually being open because the virus is in fact spreading. You couldn't make it up!

Hope your colleague is ok. Use this time wisely, how often do you get 2 weeks off this time of year where you have to stay in? Enforced rest (you need it) and pottering about time to get yourself organised.1

Ok so there are now over 10 staff out. Setting lessons all over the show and all been super stressful ALL day. I did some more house plant re potting (they look so pretty!) and changed my sheets and had a general tidy of the room.
Tomorrow after I have checked in with work I am spending it out in the garden shed sorting, with periodic checkins to work every couple of hours. Sitting (like tonight trying to figure out coverwork) for hours really hurts my knee! Yes people I am now 80 with suspect knees. SO painful makes me feel ill. Weird huh? (as a rush of sickness with the pain, not actually feeling ill, I have no symptoms.)
Off to make a list
Hope all is well XX
