  • Thanks guys xX I think I am taking too much on Beanie. Work has ramped up with the new head and I just have crazy amounts to do.
Tonight I lost a set of assessments at work and spent an hour looking for them only to discover they were in a random pile the poor cleaner made of all the crap the students left on the desks. After that I didn't do any work! I came home, gardened for a bit, cleared the bit around the gate and the side and then my wonderful neighbour saw me and cut the grass in the front. I trimmed a lot of over grown crap. Mum couldn't give two craps about any of it.

Must sleep now, am shattered XXXX

Wow that's a lot of money for bunnies! I think I missed how you've ended up with so many...there must be other rescue places?

The garden sounds like a lot of work and expense if you're not planning on staying too.  Have a look at places like Morrison's for their plants, their Fuschias are normally only £1.99 and they grow fairly quickly.  I got a really sturdy looking wisteria for the front of my house for £16.99 in B&M....same size plant at the garden centre was £45.  I love a garden centre but do feel they can rip you off if you don't know where else to look for plants.

I also get a lot of my plants from Morrison’s and B&M…..although I have to admit my local Morrison’s has had a lot of dying and unwatered plants recently which is very unusual.
Phew - glad you found the missing assessments 👍

  • Jellytotts - I had two outside and two inside, I was planning to move everyone outside, to make life a bit easier. However a very good and dear friend had move semi suddenly and didn't have anywhere for her rabbits, she had to keep them for two days in a small dog crate whilst she sorted her own accommodation. I had previously arranged a place with a rescue but turned out that their vaccines weren't up to date, rabbits should be done every year but my friend thought it was a one off vaccine so the rescue couldn't take them immediately, they are going to be vaccinated soon but meanwhile the rescue had seven females, all on pregnancy watch dumped on their doorstep, so they are over capacity. There are other rescues but all are overwhelmed it would seem with covid pets that are now unwanted. I have been involved in rescues from a distance for a while and am friends with a woman who is just rammed with animals now. It is heart breaking. I feel terrible for the guinea pigs. They aren't having a great time to be honest.

Work was exhausting today but I stayed late and got a decent whack done.

Before I order something stupid from Amazon, does anyone have any recommendations for floor cleaners? Ones that destroy dog wee...................

    thanks XXX

I remember thinking, when everyone was buying pets whilst we were in lockdown, about those signs on cars about a dog not just being for Christmas.  Well pets aren't just for Covid either.  How people can have them for a year & supposedly love them & then just dump them without making proper arrangements?  What I find so annoying is I saw it coming.  Do people not think of the implications of what they are doing?  Rhetorical question as they obviously don't.  Sorry rant over.

I also have this rant. I find it so difficult to understand.

:(  I don't get it either.  I made sure I could afford to have someone else walk pup if it turns out I have to go back to the office, and already have a couple of friends who agreed to have her if anything happens to me.

I was also wondering when the sanctuary’s would be over  run again with unwanted pets. It’s such a shame as it’s not the pets fault.

Hope you’re ok Buffy and looking forward to the weekend x
