Hi, welcome Babyblade, you should find loads of good ideas on here.
Peppa, I don’t like this set up either. I was still on the old green format too. I’m sure I’ll get used to it.
Good to see you Vulpix and GIAYD x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:7 -
Another one on the old green format here previously. The new format will become normal soon enough, it's just quite different at the moment. Glad I managed to get myself logged back in though as I think I'd be lost without my christmas thread (even if I don't post that much!)
Even just managed to redo my profile pic6 -
I’m back in here too, not sure about this new forum layout but will get used to it, I’m not keen on change. At beginning of January I entered a competition for some natural beauty products and won a cleanser balm thing so will put it in my mums stocking, Worth £25.00.
Hope everyone is ok xx£2 savers club 2025 #2= £487 -
I’m still here and reading along but don’t really like this new layout. Hope they fix the snags soon.
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Ooooh it’s all a bit different in here! Like the rest of you I don’t like the new layout but I’m sure in a couple of months’ time it’ll be normal. It looks like we've lost most of the emojis though? Oh I do like to express myself with an emoji!
Although it does look like we can post pictures directly here which is good. Gosh it’s blowing a gale outside, DH has gifted me a little lie in this morning so I’m just in bed with a cuppa listening to the wind outside. Wiggle has got a birthday party this morning which DH is taking him to so I think I’m going to stay inside with Squeak today and I’m going to make a roast dinner later.
We went to Hobbycraft recently to get some craft bits and bobs for Wiggle and I picked up two paint-your-own hanging decoration packs for 50p each to go in the boys stockings. There’s two wooden decorations in each pack and they are a boat and a plane, just a little something for them to open and will keep them busy for five minutes! I also popped into Poundland yesterday and picked up a Sudoku book for my mum, she does Sudoku every day and has done for years so I always buy her a book for Christmas.
vulpix, GIYD, lazysheep and Treasurequeen I’ve been wondering where you all were, so glad to see you back! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Treasurequeen well done on the win!
Hello and welcome babyblade! Hopefully you can pick up some tips and ideas on this thread that will stand you in good stead for Christmas this year.

Just got back from walking the dogs and just as we walked to the fields an almighty boom , thought the wind had blown my roof off...then remembered that Didcot power chimney demolition was this morning.. We live about 10 miles from there but as we are on top of a hill we can/could see the station on a clear day , what a roar
Anyways now I'm in this group and trying to get into gear for Xmas 2020, last night I thought I'd get a couple of paintings done for gifts as I always like to make something myself for my girl xmas presents. They are in their 30's so not that easy to buy for .
Went into the craft den for a couple of hours and all I made was a mess , have to paint the other end of the kitchen today so won't get a chance as obligatory roast dinner and wine on a Sunday
Now off to feed the pigs and the ducks before getting the paint roller out
Have a great Sunday and be safe7 -
Sooo happy to be back.
Happy Birthday to all those I missed. Congratulations and commiserations for everyones ups and downs.
Hello and welcome to all new joiners, please post as much as you like,we love a good natter here, not just Christmas stuff either.
Thank you to everyone who posted all their bargain finds,I did go out and buy several of them.I have no idea why I couldn't get on previously, so I for one am pleased with the new format as it's let me in.Seems a bit cumbersome at the moment but I am sure it will seem ok soon.
There has just been a massive bang downstairs with the wind, not on demolition standards though! I am not moving as wild cat aka Idris Elba is lay on my lap.He would run away if I tried to stroke him but softly softly catchee monkey.Tell me all about your kittens Peppa. My other cat aka Goldie Hawn is quite tame now but doesn't know her name or what planet she is on to be fair.
My sister in law passed away in September.A very quick illness.Very, very sad.
Other news,my Mum now 86 is still bright as a button but very frail.Son has new GF,is leaving teaching in July and is applying to the RAF but complications with that which I will explain again.DD1 has ditched BF and is loving her work and doing her masters, slowly doing up her house.DD2 has left college is working in a pub and lives with her Bf !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have decorated the house and dressed it and will possibly put it on the market in March.STILL no news about our proposed new business. We have been told we will know "by March"not sure what that means but was also told it would be last June then last October, who knows.Government departments.
I am in the midst of my families birthday season.September to April.DD1 was 27 yesterday,we spent the day together buying plants and shopping in Sheffield.
Me n Mr V are going away next Friday to a mystery destination.Mystery to me not both of us!
Enough for now Vx

VULPIX it’s lovely to see you back, I was wondering where you’d gone. You’ve certainly had a lot of changes and I’m very sorry about your sister in law although also glad for her that it wasn’t a long drawn out end. Well done to DS, DD1 and DD2 - a change is as good as a rest
(Hope that’s the right face, they’re quite hard to see). I hope you get good news about the new business very soon. My kittens are like two little hooligans although thankfully do most of their play fighting with each other. They’re six months old now but still very cute. Archie is bigger and heavier and definitely more confident and outgoing.
Welcome BABYBLADE, how many animals do you have?
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :8 -
Hello all.
Slowly getting used to the new forum. I have found if I view the desktop page it is much easier to navigate and use than the mobile version which doesn't seem very user friendly.
Hope nobody suffered any damage in the bad weather.
Nothing much christmassy happening here. Have ordered a couple of presents for Mother's Day and made a start on making cards I need for upcoming events that's about it - I am so unmotivated at the moment

Hiya,just posting because I can
Bought a lecruset jug in TKmaxx the other day reduced. With other bits Iv'e picked up thats DS done then for his birthday. They only have £30 each( they all still like bits to unwrap rather than cash). He is a big into cooking and lecruset btw not just a random gift! Got him a random plane spotting set too as a joke for RAF but don't know if to give that now. He has broken his hand playing rugby which is top to bottom of the bone rather than the usual straight across.of course it hasn't healed in the past 5 months so the consultant has said he will just have to live with it.Another consultant says it needs pining.Either way RAF wont consider him.Possibly will a year after an opp.He is waiting to see a surgeon.
I need to keep an eye out for Mothers Day gifts for two 86 year olds. My Mum is easy, she likes food! MIL is very tricky to buy for, don't think I have ever managed to give her anything she has liked.
Nephews wedding to look forward to in March.Bitter sweet without SIL.
I suspect our mystery trip is to Edinburgh. I haven't been since I was a student there in the 80's.
