Well it was Dds birthday yesterday she had a good day even though she couldn’t go out for a meal , she did manage to have her gf fish and chips Saturday. The one we use has set up online ordering and payment and they bring it out to your car .

Just as lockdown hit I called my GP and told him I had vertigo and he sent a prescription to the chemist , I didn’t have it at the time but was worried I would get it and not have the meds now  I’m not sure if it was good planning on my part or karma but guess what ! I’m suffering with bloody vertigo!

Christmas wise I’ve just bought hubby’s main pressie , he loves the John Smedley polo shirts but they are really expensive, just been looking today and the ones he likes are on offer £70 instead of £140 so ordered him 3 after finding a code for 30% off so full price would have been £420 the sale price should have been £210 but I have paid £147.Result .

    How is everyone managing ?

redrobin that’s an amazing saving on your DHs Xmas presents.

It was DS birthday last week and I think he had a nice day, despite the lockdown. We put up lots banners and balloons so that he felt special.

i haven’t progressed with Xmas prep any further, but the focus has been on DS birthday this month.

Opee take care of yourself xx My elderly aunt died from the virus recently its hitting home.
Christmas wise not a lot to report, I bought one of the family dogs Christmas present today with my pet food order. All birthday presents are bought for until October and all cards throughout the year are bought apart from Christmas. I have decided to buy each person I buy for smellies as part of their gifts this year.

Open take care of your self x

Has anyone used the mail online post code checker for deaths in your local area ? Despite all the gossip flying around there are 2 confirmed deaths in my area , very sad indeed .

I am going to send all the birthday cards for the rest of the year to each household in a large envelope so I know they have all gone , as long as my sister remembers where she puts them !

Christmas wise bought a few more bits but definitely cutting down . I have already bought my parents but I’m thinking of bulk buying tea / coffee etc as a hamper . They buy the cheapest tea but love Tetley so feel a Costco shop coming on nearer Xmas . Other than tea and coffee what else can I get ? They don’t eat biscuits or cakes !

    Stay safe xxx

REDREDROBIN if they like hot chocolate you can add some sachets of various hot chocolate sachets, also the chocolate stirrers that you melt in the drink. If they like flavoured coffee you buy coffee flavourings. Would they try herbal or other teas? You can buy individual flavoured and herbal tea bags from Wittards, or you could, I haven’t checked lately. If they don’t eat cake and biscuits how about something savoury like cheese and crackers? Good luck.

For the first time this year I’ve been interested in Christmas the past couple of days and I’ve actually decided on a craft for our family Christmas crafting day. Actual Christmas prep doesn’t start until July for me but it’s a relief to me that the first stirrings are there, I was worried I’d gone off Christmas!
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Thanks for the suggestions, my hamper is a bulk buy one so 1100 tea bags , a large coffee from Costco and 2400 sweetners . Now I know this all sounds a little odd but my aim is to save them a little money if I can buy items that will last a few months . The other thing she mentioned today is olive oil soap just not sure if that maybe a little too odd !
