Glad you are making improvements to your flat. Little changes like that can make a big difference."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney4

It dawned on me that I moved in properly on 1st June 2017 . ( I spent all of April - June getting new bathroom , kitchen , new furniture etc) .Due to distractions etc I find that moving the computer into the living room is the way to go
Once I tidy up the gasroom and do a bit of patching up, should I ever have to sell it I won't have to do much at all .I was getting into old habits of displaying my bass guitars etc but the way things are now ,it's more tidy and functional whatever happens .4 -
No party last night . It seems like case closed for now . My venting off to the owners, letting agents and managing agents may have put everything to a halt for now .No need to go on about them anymore ,and if they start again I now know what to do.
I would imagine I have a busy week ahead of me , in terms of dealing with issues affecting my pattern for the remainder of the year . By this I mean , the work related guy calling me someday this week assessing my aim to get back into employment and a catch-up by him
He was confident initially , that I'd get a part time job to suit by around sept . TBH , I think this year is a write off for obvious reasons .MT trainer wants to give me a video session on Tuesday .🏋️. Apparently he is opening his gym around the middle of this month . I stand to be corrected , but again I have to be realistic . I cannot see myself going to Bournemouth till at the very least August and maybe I may be better off with video classes instead permanently . Not 100% mind made up but I aim to avoid most things for as long as I can .If the pubs open soon , I'm not gonna bother for a very long time as I honestly believe that it sounds too much of a nightmare to start again at this stage . I will start walking regularly again , as I need to . Probably tomorrow .Things I need to do today ..tidy up the gasroom . Probabky take about an hour .
Tidy up kitchen . Same again. More room as most of unwanted food gone .Hoover and dust the flat .
One other thing I need to do, is try to do those induction courses that the work related guy sent to me .I'll leave it there ..🌥4 -
I'm glad you had a weekend free of parties.
I know what you mean about avoiding things for as long as you can. It is scary out there. Your situation is different from mine but I will be gradually trying to take reasonable risks. For example I don't fancy a pub but might in a few months be okay to sit in a socially distanced pub garden.
I think there may be a second spike with or without the protesters. (I'll leave it there as you might say)
Well done on keeping the exercise going despite the changes. I wish I had your commitment to exercise.
You are doing great with sorting the flat. I'm tackling my house as you know and its amazing what a difference small changes make...

Interesting what you said about beer gardens . 🌱🍺. That would be my angle , but even then it's walking past people etc. I had a discussion with a couple of friends mentioning service changes to the European way where the bartender comes and brings drinks to th table . We'll see.As for the training 🏋️ , I'm surprised that I've kept at it at home . In terms of progress, I'd say that I only have a bit of a belly due to the crap I'm still eating from time to time but much better than what it was. If I can go walking again and keep up the home stuff, then I've more or less got to where I thought impossible a few years back .
Yesterday was a strange but calm day . I did over 90% imho of what I set out to do.
no, the blinds haven't been dusted. No, not all of the gasroom ( now Store room ) has been finished. No, the kitchen floor hasn't been cleaned and disinfected . 🙀
Having said that, I did clear the massive obstruction of unwanted food, carrier bags, flat packed boxes and stuff generally in the way in the kitchen that has been looking run down for weeks ( months really ).I also hoovered carpets . I rearranged Store room ,and have almost finished it.I fell asleep twice during the day and that felt great . It didn't effect my sleep last night, which is surprising.Which leads me to today ..
I'm thinking of deleting my Facebook account altogether . In all honestly, until my sisters visited last August , I hardly bothered with it . With this lockdown , I've been following bands and music websites etc. However, I find with all this virtue signalling it is easy for people to become toxic without realising and humour goes out of the window so it seems
The only things I found it useful were for criticising poor customer service which led me to getting proper help ,and Facebook messenger which mr trainer uses to do my video sessions . Mr trainer uses Instagram which I haven't used yet. I do realise that trustpilot help with poor customer service also . Do I quit or not ? Mmmm..
This morning I was going to watch everybody loves Raymond , or cheers etc. However, Mike and molly and Big Bing Theory is worse than toothache .🦷,so Im listening to planet rock on the freesat box.One thing I have to do this week , is find out if I am allowed pip daily living allowance
Havent been in frame of mind , but must do it this week .
I'll leave it there ...4 -
Big news this morning ...one set of neighbours above me are moving out .Not the druggies yet . I noticed my Tesco delivery was early and noticed front door open . Of course I wasn't jumpy . I could see the husband putting bags in his car. As I was talking to the driver , the mother came down the stairs and told me that they are moving out today. It was a bizarre situation that I was in , with English not being her first language and me having to lower my mask so that I was understood and I was trying to grasp what she was telling me . We got on well, but in fairness they were getting too big for the flat.
4 people plus a baby in a 2 bedroom flat . They were there for 4 years. I've been here 3
( where did the time go ?🙀).I have to be alert as to who is going to move in in their place etc.Apparently , the landlord has recently become a director of the managing agents .
I was offered to be one , but didn't think it was right for me .Hopefully with the landlord being a director of the managing agents, I may get lucky 🤞🤞
nothing being taken for granted .3 -
I hope your new neighbours are good people.
What do you mean you were offered to be a director? Is there a residents association?
Funny you saying you have been there 3 years. I am reading your diary and where you were with life in 2016!

Thanks DIA 😼
Thanks for reading my diary from the beginning . I would love to think what you make of me then and now . As I say , at that time I didn't understand diaries at that time.
I just asked for help and guidance with my situation at that time , and ended up being a part of a great forum thanks to yourselves . I was a wreck then ..And here I am 😸
I'm thinking of a way of explaining the association that I mentioned .Basically it's the managing agents to who I pay my ground rent and service charges to.
They manage many properties, but there were 3 members on the board in my block .
( The snoop next door , and 2 other leaseholders ) One of the other leaseholders sold her flat last year ,and the other doesn't want to be involved . It looks like I'm one of the only leaseholders living in the block . The snoop next door being the other. The landlord of the family moving out doesn't live here, and like the others treats it as a buy to let.
There are 7 flats in the block in total .I hope that makes sense 😼3 -
