It's a good news bad news kind of day... I'm bringing 1 cat home at 6pm tonight. Unfortunately I got the call early this morning from the vet to say that there was nothing more that they could do for my Tuxy cat and it was time to let her go. Me and the kids are quite devastated and have had lots of tears this morning even though we know it is for the best... it's very sad indeed. I get to go and get naughty tortie later, who lives to fight another day with another massive bill for me to foot. However we now have the wait for the biopsy results as well so it's not all clear just yet. I have truly had a terrible holiday this week, starting with worry about naughty tortie, then Tuxy, then money, now this. DS is particularly upset as this is our first big experience of loss as a family and he's quite young, dd is sad but more stoic about it. Ah well. Goodness knows how the rest of the day will go but at the minute I don't want to do anything except eat and cry.

Then eat and cry if that is what you want to do.  So sorry for your loss.  I miss my cat every day, and he has been gone for 12 years, mind you, he had a thing for salt and vinegar chipsticks, so every time the kids eat them I remember him and smile. He was a total nut, but honestly the nicest cat in the whole wide world. Tuxy was lucky to have found your family, and you were blessed to have her for the time you had together. She deserves a wake.  Eating tat will not make you feel better, but at the same time, today is the day to be kind to you all.  RIP Tuxy cat.
