Maybe if you don’t go away you can really use that week to get through some of the tiredness and you’ll feel better. Also, if you’ve been apprehensive about going in busy shops a plane isn’t probably going to be your first choice. 

Hope you had a great evening and the heads not too sore. Fabulous progress on the house, if I’d were you I’d use the holidays to get it straight (including your room as it’ll feel much fresher come the winter if it’s done), catch up on crochet projects and enjoy your house and your break so often in the holidays you have a huge list of things to do that they’re perhaps not as relaxing as they could be. Maybe this year is different?

Cor, aren't we all wise and grown up this weekend?

I am sitting here being sent emails by the volunteering coordinator asking me if I can fill the slots left open by the people who have broken lockdown and are on planes to Spain.  I know full well they live in the lockdown area, and are going to be skipping happily into 'work' in a fortnight breathing all over me.   I would not like to be on a plane with them. I would not like you and yours to  be  on a plane with them.  Stay home, pitch a tent, have a Gardenstonbury festival.  Make Pimms, it is one of your 5aday. Have a garden party when it is done.  Open House at CCL's.  Bring a plant.

I have an awful hangover. I feel like death might be approaching. Who on Earth invented Cherry Sourz that just taste like you're drinking a really big glass of cherryade but actually becoming too drunk to move? I thought I was so smart, drinking 2 pints of water and taking 2 paracetamol before bed. Alas at 5am my body needed more water and paracetamol, and I got up at half eight. 2 cups of tea later and I felt raring to go so started with the first coat of paint in ds room. It took approximately 20 minutes for me to realise that I'd had a bad idea and wasn't in fact raring to go at all - and a further 2 hours and 10 minutes to finish the first coat of paint. 
I am now trying to decide whether I need more tea, sleep, or to be sick
Lovely evening with my friend though - really excellent company and a fun time had by all I think. She introduced me to celebrity Gogglebox which was either very funny or I was more drunk than I thought I was initially.
Slept like a baby on my new mattress which has just reminded me that a nap on there this afternoon will be most restful indeed Think that's what I will do next.
I know what you're all saying about holidays and stuff, and I'm not overly keen on the actual travelling part - I just like seeing new places and a change of scenery. Much as I love my new home I would also desperately love a weekend away where someone else provides my food and drink and I'm not in charge of tidying up. It does suck to be the adult sometimes that's for sure. I've looked at mini cruises (can sail to Holland very close to where I live) but very expensive, and the request of the kids for 2 days at Alton Towers came in at more expensive than a week self catering in Majorca. You're all so sensible and grown up. I hate being the grown up some days - I want to do something different and I am BORED of being at home all day every day. Meh.

I've looked at mini cruises (can sail to Holland very close to where I live) but very expensive.

I love Holland. I like going by ferry but it's difficult from where we live and it's actually cheaper to fly.  We usually go once a year but no chance of any trips  abroad any time soon. I'm not even getting on a bus. Are you staying over in Amsterdam. Fabulous city. I love it.
