SSDD23, so sorry to hear you are having a rough day and the woman at the hospital sounds like she needs to work on her bedside manner! ((((hugs)))) Glad to hear your day got better as it went along though xxx

Thanks cathybird - it'll all get sorted eventually I guess :)
  • Hope you've had a better day today. I'd have had the same reaction as you yesterday, you've every right to feel frustrated. Here's hoping the ultrasound date isn't too far away and then progress can be made x

    Hey :)

Finally subscribed to the new diary. I have missed soooooo much. Gutted that the appointment did not go to plan at all and can fully understand the frustration and been upset about the whole thing. I would echo what others say and maybe look at a complaint re the contents of the letter.

Sorry it seems like you have had a bit of a crappy day, think some days we have the day from hell and think the everything and everyone is conspiring to make it a crap day. Hope the loud music helped get rid of some of that frustration

Here is to a better Wednesday and good luck on the little project hahaha x

I'd have had the same reaction too, that's so disproportionate from what the letter led you to expect!

  • Thanks all - I'll take a look at the pamphlet I got with my appointment letter as there's information on how to make a complaint, maybe it'll magically rush forward my ultrasound :rotfl:

The gym was good, did about 45 minutes on the bike. I opted to download the first episode of "This Is Us" on my phone and watch that rather than blaring loud music, very impressed by it and I will definitely be watching the rest of it :)

I also got home and decided to finally try out my weighted hula hoop, it was a lot more fun that I expected although I do feel a little bashed around in the middle today :rotfl: that's definitely something I'll be happy to regularly do, though, it's something a bit different and more interesting.

I ending up ordering some things called "metatarsal domes" last night, of the two things the physio is expecting to come up on the ultrasound, one of the things matches my symptoms almost perfectly, and these are supposed to be very good for relieving the associated pain according to the reviews, so hopefully they provide some relief when they turn up.

Oh, the weirdest thing of the day yesterday, there had been an accident on my way home so traffic was very slow and backed up going north (my way home). Some idiot decided to cross over the A-Road we were on (on foot - dual carriageway both ways) and as he was climbing over the central reservation to cross our side, he fell and landed in the road right behind my car  he should feel very grateful the traffic was indeed standstill or it could have been a completely different story with him and the car behind me, though judging by his stumbling I doubt he will remember.

Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday x
  • One more day to the weekend :j

What are the chances of getting caught in accident-related traffic two days in a row? :rotfl: It took me 90 minutes to do a 20 minute journey last night, and that's only because I managed to set up my sat nav whilst stuck in traffic to go a different way home - from now on, I'll always just set Waze up before I head home just to be on the safe side :rotfl:

Experimenting with the foot pads today and trying to get the perfect placement, I'll see how they go through the day and whether or not they are helping.

Going to a friend's tonight for our weekly catch up, then plan to do a little hula-hooping when I get in. The kids were (of course) fascinated by it but under strict instructions not to mess around with it, if it makes me feel sore from using it, god knows what it'll feel like on little(r) people!

OH is literally working all weekend other than Friday night, so I am planning to start and finish my little craft project over the weekend. I am also hoping that these foot pads do the business and that I can try a little light running with one inside my trainers..... t1309.gif

Still not looked at the pamphlet or appointment letter for complaint information, I don't really like complaining but I do need to dig out the letter anyway to give them my new phone number, so I'll probably grab that from my car after having lunch with my nan. I will have to go to my car as I have ordered a few pairs of wide fit shoes (with a nice hefty discount code s0218.gif ) to try and ease the foot condition, too!

I can't wait to finish work tomorrow for the week, I'm hoping to persuade OH to go to the gym with me tomorrow night, then I'll go for a swim on Sunday evening, and will have hit my exercise goals I set myself for the week. I get quite anxious about the most stupid things sometimes (like going to the gym or pool) but I know once I've pushed myself to go a few times, I'll be fine again.

Right, time to try and make some extra pennies x
  • Enjoy your catch-up with your friend. You are doing well, especially at fighting through your barriers :)

  • I have opted to just head home tonight, it has been a tense week so far with kids being a bit of handful and lots of bickering with OH (to the point that we are going to sit down tomorrow night and have a frank conversation about it all) so feel like I just need a night where I can go home and mope and be miserable and get it out of my system if that makes sense! I will attempt to force myself to do some future planning and organising, though, along with a bit of weighted hula hooping!

Finally put on my card details for YNAB, that will come out in 10 days, it appears they now have a monthly option but I have done it the "correct" way for my future habits and opted to do it in one payment, for ease of monthly budgeting more than the fact it is cheaper to pay it in one go.

Hoping for a smooth journey home tonight, I just need a pleasant journey home and a relatively stress-free evening :o

    Hiya :hello:

    Traffic sucks!! :rotfl:

Sorry to read your having a bit of a meh time, it seems like the whole foot thing, coupled with the crappy traffic and OH stuff it can get very straining (which may possibly be contributing to the OH stuff). Hopefully the hooping will relieve a little of the stress...even if it creates a bit of pain :rotfl:

Its okay to feel frustrated and grumpy but hope you feel better soon :) least it will be Fri-yay by the time your reading this hahaha.

hope you have a good Friday x
