Hope you get the job. DH used the dog clippers on his own hair lol - they are wireless - and he said they were much better than our previous wired hair clippers lol.

  • Thanks everyone :):)

Feeling at the end of my tether with people's inability to follow basic instructions when food shopping, wandering blindly round the aisles, getting too close, trying to get their friends to cut queues and come and stand with them, I was grateful to finally check out and drop the shopping off to the various houses. Took waaaay longer than I should have done on my lunch break as the queue was ridiculous, but didn't trust it to be any better when I finished so just got on with it. The freezers and some of the shelves were looking empty, it's almost like people were starting to stockpile again. And, I still need to do OUR food shopping tonight :joy: On the plus side, I got told to add on a bottle of wine for myself onto one of the shopping lists, so that will be thoroughly enjoyed this evening :joy:

I've given up on the exercise already, I wasn't going to admit that, but I just don't have the energy for it this week, maybe when things have calmed down a little more and I can get it done at work like I used to, but by the time I get home my energy is all gone.

I can literally feel the tension in my shoulders at the moment from that shopping trip, may dig out a roller or a ball when I get home and try and ease it out a bit.

This is becoming a bit of a negative post compared to the last one, on the plus side less than 3 hours until I don't have to be back here for two whole days, and no shopping is required for the other households until probably Tuesday, so a nice chilled weekend ahead :) if the weather is nice on Sunday like it is supposed to be, we should be having a BBQ for two, so looking forward to that also :)

  • Morning everyone!

Yes the weekend was great, did a pub quiz over Zoom on Saturday night, picked up the last few bits for our fur baby on Sunday, and then we had a BBQ for dinner on Sunday, too.

Going to try to keep myself as busy as possible at work for my three-day week, the bonus is that Thursday and Friday are supposed to be the hottest days of the week

I got in a few hours of SE work over the weekend, not loads but more than I've done for a while, and also a couple of Intellizoom studies, too, but won't see that little bit of money for 3-4 weeks.

This morning was a bit of a mad dash as I wasn't prepared at all, had to make lunch, find my uniform and also stop for petrol on the way into work, but I managed it all with time to spare so can't complain too much.

Right, time to catch up some diaries and do as much work as I can to make the day fly by! X

  • Just paying a return visit 😊 ouch to the car costs recently, hope you can recoup some of the costs from the vendor but, as you say, it's good to know the repairs have been completed by someone you trust - I'm the same with my mechanic, wouldn't use anyone else.
Well done on paying OH back 50% already that's awesome, good luck with the job application, hope it goes your way x
