Hi SSDD23 you're doing amazing!!! So impressed that you're doing the 30 day shred. I have that dvd somewhere reading your diary has motivated me I think I might have to ratch my copy out and give it a go again! I used to do it regularly years and years ago. Are you doing it every morning?

I'm kind of doing it whenever it fits, luckily the first few days I started I had the house to myself in the evenings, Monday I got up super early as I had a busy day so knew  I'd struggle to fit it in later, last night I did it when I got home around 9:30 pm, and today I'll do it on my lunch break :joy: I'm looking forward to doing my measurements on Saturday morning when  I've done all 10 days of Level One (Saturday is the day I'm due to move up) as my scales haven't shown a change on my weekly weigh-in, but I definitely know I feel trimmer and less jiggly :joy:

Haha you know me, power through when I've got my mind set on something
Yeah, I still have to stop at Sainsbury's to get bits I just can't get a good version of in Aldi, but definitely brings down the cost. I'd spend a fortune comparatively if I had to do the full shop in Sainsbury's, so I get where you're coming from

  • So, I have officially done 7 consecutive days of the shred, and I'm actually looking forward to doing it when I lace up my trainers, now. This is primarily the reason I wanted to do it, I do generally enjoy exercising I just needed something to get me back in to the habit of doing it. I'd originally thought Friday was the day I needed to move up a level, and was a little uncomfortable when OH said he wasn't working like I thought he was, so I didn't want him to see me fumbling my way through new exercises for the first time, but turns out it's Saturday when he is definitely at work, so all good on that front   He did say he would just go and have a bath if I was that uncomfortable with it though haha :joy:

I was very nearly late for work this morning, I fell back asleep after my alarm went off which I haven't done in ages, luckily I woke up still with enough time for the world's quickest shower and a coffee. Also, as it's half term the traffic is wonderful otherwise i definitely would have been late for work!

Going to pop into my nan's after work today as it's my grandad's birthday today, then off home to see OH and the kids, I'm sure he will be grateful for some adult company as he's off to get them shortly and it's obviously half term.

Despite feeling a lot trimmer, I've been bloated constantly for about a month now, so need to work out how to reduce that. It'll be more fluids, probably, as that's something I'm really bad with. I do have quite a few days where I literally just drink coffee all day. This morning I've got a big bottle of flavoured water that was in the fridge, maybe if I can aim to drink one of those a day at work that's at least 1.5L more than I drink normally. In fact, I absolutely should be drinking more as I sit with two heaters right by me as the room I am in is big and cold, so no doubt that's not helping. It'll be a little bit onto the food bill each week but I'm sure I can make it work - I am one of those people that really struggles to drink plain water, I have to be seriously hydrated (or in the gym!) to even contemplate water! :joy:
  • Wow well done! You have really inspired me to give shred another go :)

Yay! You will have to let me know how you get on

Just realised Friday will be another early start to fit it in before work, as the car needs taking back to the garage for round 2 of repairs, and seeing my dad who is in town in the evening

  • The grimace above was obviously the thought of getting up at 5:15 to exercise, not seeing my dad :joy::joy:

It also may not even cost much at all to visit the pub with him, as Greene King on o2 have got a free drink for you and a friend  Just trying to establish what network my dad's girlfriend is on so that they can take advantage, too!

Shred day #8 is done and dusted, whilst I was eating my (prepped) lunch afterwards, I decided to watch the Level 2 just to see what it was like. Well, in summary, I said to OH I'm either going to die, or get super fit - it could go either way!

I think some money might actually go into my LISA this week :joy: just a tester amount of £2 to work out what goes out when, it's something along the lines of they "take" it on a Wednesday but don't actually "take" it until the following Monday, but it didn't go anywhere last Wednesday or this Monday, so was very confused, but it's all actually saying it'll be collected on Monday, this time :sunglasses:

On the home stretch, only planning on popping in to see my grandparents for a quick coffee, I think my grandad tends to go to bed really early. Then home for some dinner, I definitely have a stronger appetite now that I'm exercising more frequently, thankfully I have plenty of healthy, filling food in the house to get by on!

I am looking forward to my alone time tomorrow evening, my only night in the week this week, so I can just chill out and not have to really do much unless I can be bothered! I do cherish the odd night here and there, it's only when it becomes 3-4 nights when OH is working loads that it gets lonely!

My car feels TONS better with the new brakes, I actually think they may have been always been sticking a bit since I owned it because I can accelerate more quickly now, I guess I wouldn't have known any different though if its the way the car had always driven from the test drive. Money well spent, even if I am spending it three months after getting the car!!

Hahaha yeah you are defo a determined girl when you have your mind set on the goal! Yeah I hate thinking of how much we spend in the big four grocery stores over the years :(  Aldi has plenty of choice for what we need as a family, so mostly get what we need.

Wow you are seeming to be very busy lately ha, i agree with the water intake it is something i have always struggled with despite knowing i need to up my intake of it...its just too plain 🤣🤣 so i drink flavored water now. Well done on the shred, hopefully when you see results this will keep motivating you.

Re the car - yeah if brakes were sticking you will notice a huge difference now, i had a similar issue that affected the acceleration, glad you have this fixed now though
