Yep the credit card debt is gone
wish we still had the jumping smiley. Celebrated with a g&t and a socially distanced picnic with my friend in the park. Was really lovely to see her and get a proper chat.
Savings pots have been topped up and I've entered my budget into ynab. Looking back at this month, we've slightly overspent on food but underspent on petrol so it balances out.
I popped to the local shop yesterday just to get some sun tan lotion and ice lollies.
Off work again today and it is beautiful. Currently doing a walk around the park before it gets too warm or too busy. Plan for the rest of the day is to relax in the garden with a bookMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Bought petrol yesterday and did a supermarket shop to do us for the next few weeks. Gorgeous weather here so if I haven't been at work, I've been sitting in the garden.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Oops haven't posted for ages, really not much to report. Haven't spent any money since 1st other than on usual bills which is amazing. Bought a couple of things from @mazon but that was using a birthday voucher. Still got plenty of food left so next shop will probably be on Thursday or Friday. Have been doing plenty of browsing online for clothes as there are a few things that I need but haven't yet bought anything.
Had the weekend off so spent Saturday morning doing various bits in the garden/flat. Ended up being a nice day so we went for a walk then sat out in the garden for a few hours in the afternoon. I went for a socially distanced run with a friend yesterday but it was a bit miserable (cold, windy and wet). Me and OH then had a film afternoon/evening.
Right suppose I better move off the sofa and get ready for work, hope everyone has a good MondayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Have managed a few runs this week and did a 5k on Thursday which I'm really pleased about. Planning to do a socially distanced run with my friend again tomorrow.
Did a big supermarket shop yesterday so all stocked up again. Have spent a lot of the food budget though as spending more each time. Have probably got 2-3 weeks worth of food in but like to keep a good stock in case we end up having to self isolate.
Work continues to be ok. I enjoy some days/bits more than others. I can't remember if I ever said but I'm currently on secondment to another service. It has another 3ish months to run then I will hopefully return to my previous role. On a late shift today so better go start getting organised.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Well done on the 5k :-)
Though you have spent a lot of the food budget it sounds like you are well stocked up and we are half way through the month now so hopefully you will end up staying within the budget. or at least very close to it.
I have switched to a click and collect every two weeks for the basics with my usual top ups in the village for fresh stuff. I like to know where my meat comes from and the village butcher only uses very local suppliers - I've probably walked through fields where my future dinners were running round :-)
Hope work goes well, take care

Thanks Boodedoo. We should be able to stay within the food budget as there's just over £40 left and all we will need is fresh stuff for the rest of the month.
Popped to the supermarket yesterday to get a present and card for father's day, a lightbulb and fruit as we seem to have powered through the fruit supplies that I bought last week.
On a late shift today so once I've finished my coffee, I'm going to jump in the shower then take a walk up to the post office to send away the father's day present.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Got my pay slip through yesterday so will work on a budget over the weekend. Due to no overtime going recently, it's over £400 less than last month
however, no credit card payment this month and I've gotten to spend lots of quality time with OH
Now have 3 days off with no plans other than taking the car to the garage for a service.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Dropped my car off at the garage yesterday evening and then ran home. Currently on my way to pick it up but not sure how much it will cost yet. Barring a major disaster, it will be covered by the car fund.
Very changeable weather - dull and drizzly then glorious sunshine and it's very warm. If it stays dry, I'll get some gardening done, if not, then some flat cleaning.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Shame about the lower pay packet, but the extra time spent with OH is a real bonus. Fingers crossed about the car, hope its just the service fee and no great surprises :-)2

Thanks Boodedoo. I only had to pay the service charge of £159 yesterday but there were some things flagged up during the service (worn front tires, worn brake pads and something to do with the suspension coil) which will need seen to in the near future. The guy from the garage is going to price up everything and get in contact with me through the week.
It turned into a glorious afternoon so got all the gardening jobs done. My lovely neighbour gave me some plants so they've been planted and hopefully will do well. We then sat out in the garden enjoying the sunshine. Horrible morning today but it's supposed to brighten up later so plan for today is to do a few wee jobs around the house and then go for a walk in the afternoon.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
