I walked 4 miles, so 16 miles left to keep my target for January
I’ve not been drinking water lately and rather than beating myself up I thought it through. I don’t like the taste of unfiltered water so I use a jug but the jug doesn’t fit in the fridge so it isn’t cold. Smaller one purchased (on sale for not much more than replacement cartridges) I am drinking water again
Bought a double socket so I can use bedside light to read in bed. (Part of my new nighttime routine)
Bought a purse (on sale and soft leather for £7!) I had been using a change purse and could not quickly find things. Now I can as new purse has places for cards. I feel more organised.
Bought a see-through pencil case and transferred my make-up so I can see everything now. I feel more organised.
I am writing this on a completely clear and clean dining table! I must kept it up as it feels so nice
Lots of washing up  but clear now/bins and recycling done
Quite spendy but all purchases were carefully considered and improve my life a little.
A productive day. I hope you had a good day tooIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I wake up hungry because I don't eat after 5/6pm
I have just reviewed the breakfast I've eaten. No wonder I am fat! I tell myself I have scrambled eggs for breakfast and I do, but just finished eating some raw nuts (2 handfuls) and 2 squares of chocolate with my coffee. Loads of calories and the day has barely begun.
I'm one of those people who take ages to register I am full. So, today I will be buying fruit so I can have 2 pieces of fruit with a coffee on waking. I will take my time with this and then make scrambled eggs with grilled tomatoes.
I will also buy rocket so I can have a salad before my main meal. Or I can have soup.
I'm not going to start a diet as I hate them and I'd rather change my behaviour. Plus I don't eat badly on the whole. I just need to be mindful and organised.
I am changing my food environment too as I have chocolate in the fridge but an empty fruit bowl and that won't do. Time for changeIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Happy New Year and Happy New Shiny Diary
Good luck with your goals xx0 -
I find the idea of dieting quite depressing . It just changes the mood for some reason, and seems to put an unnecessary weight over my shoulders so I don't do it . You eat enough proper stuff anyway . Just leave the chocolate for elevenses ..and 12's etc:)
You're still making progress ..1 -

I took a gamble by buying a ticket to a place I don’t know whether I will be able to afford to go to. If I leave it the travel cost will double. I’ve paid £100 + to get to Scotland but I bought my ticket for £55. I will send off my bursary application today as I now have all the info I need. Fingers crossed.
I have a fruit bowl bursting with cool and had 2 pieces of fruit before my eggs.
I made some lovely soup (turkey stock, spinach and lentils)
I cooked a turkey crown (reduced from £35 to £15)
I have a 25p bag of sprouts and a 23p small tray of stuffing.
Making a white miso sauce.
Made thin chickpea wraps
So, lots of prepped tasty and healthy food and no reason to eat badly.
A NSD/AF day as yesterday I had a few glasses of pricey/delicious wine with a friend
Dishes, cleaning, mess…starting to think I need a better system as I’m always in a mess. Loved at flylady site but no it doesn’t suit me. Anyone got any book recommendations on home organisation?
Ironing done (I know, exciting!)
Off to get the application submitted…If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Your menu choice looks delicious and very healthy all round.
I agree your decision to book ahead for Scotland before prices rise. You could look at YHA (Youth Hostel) so if your bursary doesn't come could you check out whether there was somewhere nearby you could stay cheaply. If you recall we spent 2018 NYE in a YHA near the Eden project in Cornwall and we had individual rooms made out of shipping containers, which were very cool - and a communal cooking area but with individual dining tables for privacy with a communal feel
Or failing that most tickets are refundable albeit with an Admin chargeI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks Mark, you make good points if I don't get the funding I may look into it.
Just finished the dreaded bursary application. Done now. :T Taken a good part of the day but worth it if I get it.
Started on an application for a workshop and accidentally deleted it
Annoying, but I have another 5 days for that one so will do tomorrow as I am getting tired of the screen now.
