Gifts sound great, always nice finding bargains.
The fans have good reviews, it would move with you, but is a lot of money for something not used all year round.

I got my dyson when I moved , and although expensive I am so glad I did . I got the larger one ( the tower). I got it from qvc of all places as they always seem to promote them.
As well as cool air , the hot air was a life saver when my boiler packed up so it had more than one use . I'm not really helping ..
As for the weight , I still say you should weight until you're settled ( sorry😺).
Regarding the muggy weather ; we were warned, but I woke up at 2.45 with a raging headache . I hate humidity . So about 2 hrs after I took ibuprofen💊💊I was ok.
I've just taken ibuprofen before bedtime 🛌. Plus I've got the dyson ready .
I'll leave it there ...🥵WinterWarrior said:I love the look of those fans, but can’t justify the spend. If I could, I would!
for the NSD’s I find calling early helps. Once you’ve said it you have to follow through...or creep back and explain 🤣klew356 said:I couldnt justify the dyson so i got a challenge one from argos replacing the 10 year old one i had previously, works a treatIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. The last few days since my relative came home have been busy. We have a rota to sleep in her room with her as a new symptom is night terrors/panic attacks. I hope this subsides soon as I am losing sleep!
Yesterday I spent house seeking. Looked at 3 and none of them worked for me for various reasons. Again I gained a new sense of the area as we drove in different parts of the area. I felt a bit disappointed but not massively so. I'm lucky to have somewhere to live now as I understand the rental market is as crazy as the property sales market.
I went back to my friend's house after our day at the seaside. I treated us to fish and chips and we had them with white wine sitting in the garden. Lovely.
I'm back home and getting ready to go to the relatives where I will do an overnight session and come back after I drop the little one off.
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekendIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi there DIY.
Checking in again, although tend to have a quick catch up at work.
Things sound good for you, but busy.
Gosh that's tough on you and your relative. Is there any medication they can have?
Wow how lovely about the stylish 96 year old and her lovely comments. Some people just have it. What a brilliant role model.
Fish and chips and white wine sounds like a a good combination. I made Katsu curry the other day and we had that with chips. Usually prefer tomato sauce or mayo, but it was lovely.
Brilliant sunny weekend.
Best wishes

Thanks @MovingForward. We are 'on it' as far as her care and symptoms are concerned.
Re viewings; they are tiring, physically and emotionally and cost time and money to get there, as they are not local. Add in Covid risks and I'd have to be mad to 'view for the sake of it.'
Like you I hope the right house will pop upHopefully by the end of the year!

A few nights at relatives, but after tonight a few days off.
Great weather so a few items hand washed and drying on a rack on the fire-escape!
A few wonderful charity shop buys. A linen Hugo Boss suit with 3/4 legs for £30 that I bought for my sister. So beautifully cut. It is a man's suit but she is flat chested and it looks so good on her! A brand new porcelain Japanese teapot for me and a sample Jaeger linen jacket, also £30.
Doing really rubbish on the not spending front the eating well front isn't so fantastic either.
Ah well, will try harder tomorrow.
I hope everyone is having a good day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
