Thanks @Seasidegal58 and @jwil
I think my relative may be out next week. If so, my life will be easier as I can combine picking up the little one for nursery and visiting my relative. I won't have to take little one on evening visits either and that will also cut down on my time and energy. Relative has had enough of hospital so fingers crossed all goes well for all our sakes.
The good news has improved my mood and maybe the sunshine has helped too.
Talked through the little house idea with a friend who will drive down to see the week after next if I put in an offer after my second visit next week. The garden is over the road and needs work but she is a gardener and I've described it and shown her a few pictures and she thinks it can be made to work. There is a small balcony I can sit out on for coffee. I might not get the house anyway but will update on here...
There is a second house option that is bigger and a bit pricey so much more of a financial commitment. It is more conventional so may go quickly. If it is still available after the first batch of viewers I will ask to see it.
I've looked up planning permissions and noise nuisance complaints on the council website and viewed both on street viewer.
No plans today but meeting a friend for a walk and coffee and cake tomorrow afternoon

I'm glad your relative is improving.
Good luck with viewing the houses. A garden and a balcony to have coffee on sound lovely. I'm looking forward to you finding a home that you love, but I want you to have a garden!

Thanks everyone
@HairyHandofDartmoor, don't worry I have come to see how important a garden is partly from reading your posts where you are in the garden with DH having coffee
Thanks @Seasidegal58 and @in_need_of_direction my relative's will is amazing to witness. I am in awe.
Today I planned to be house hunting but I woke exhausted and with a need to go at my own pace so I cancelled until the weekend. Instead I did my laundry and I'm using the lovely weather to get it all dried. I'm also going to go to the little park and do some reading, although I always say that and I've never been.
The night before last the upstairs neighbours were having a party until 3.30. I didn't go and complain and hoped it was a one off as it has never happened before. Thankfully last night was quiet so hoping it was a rare BH gathering.
I pick up my veggies for the veg box later as I missed the deadline to cancel it
My RM complaint is offering a free month and states they have a notice in the local sorting office so it won't happen again. This is after I escalated it. I can seek compensation as I think that is inadequate as they compromised my security but the damage is done so I will probably leave it there. I'm still angry about it to be honest!
Hope everyone is having a good/sunny dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Good to see you pacing yourself regarding potential viewings etc
I'd say you've probabky done the right thing regarding the Royal Mail . At least they know now .Hope the week is going well 🌞7 -
Thanks @another_casualty
I just had a call from the EA to say one of the houses I was due to view today had been offered on. I offered at asking price as I had already seen it and she said she would refuse on behalf of the buyer as the other offers were higher and they were also chain free etc. She was a bit snooty and said 'offers in excess of the asking price meant that for future reference...' That's me told. : Anyway not engaging in price wars. The other property has 15 booked to view it! It is with another EA. I'm starting to think I will withdraw from the market for a while. Hopefully things will settle after the SD thingy ends. If not, a camper van or a tent maybe. I'm a bit disappointed about being outbid but not that disappointed so maybe I didn't want it that much...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Annoying about the arrogant estate agent . Then again you'll get the right place eventually .
The market is absolutely mad as we know for the moment . Not sure how long you are able to stay in your present accommodation , but hopefully long enough to secure something . In the meantime you can still get valuable info on the area(S) that you want to settle in by exploring more often if possible .Keep going ..8
