You're doing everything positively DIA 😼
I know what you mean by breaking point . However, you are realising what's going on and are not being overwhelmed by it all and dealing with everything in the best way you can .
Some things like the weight for example may be a pain , but you are going through a lot so don't get too hung up on it or other things that will be sorted once you are eventually settled .You're doing so well , so keep going as you are ..7 -
I'm glad you have the bike back and have taken a couple of days for yourself."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7

Great news on the bike. Don't beat yourself up about progress or lack of it. It sounds like you are adding real value to your relatives lives at a time when they need it most. It's not surprising if at at times that feels all consuming.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Take a step back and prioritise the important things, frogs can wait and everything will get too much because you're spreading yourself too thin.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.7

Thank you for all the uplifting posts.
So today I went to the hospital and my relative was having a treatment so the time was wasted. I should have gone back tonight but I didn't. This morning I did the nursery run.
I've started using the multi cooker thing as a slow cooker. A chicken went in at 8am. It was so simple but it came out lovely. There are some foods that feel comforting like a pot roast chicken or soup. I ate lots of greens too so feeling virtuous
A few phone calls to friends
Found two 'maybe' houses so spent forever doing sums to see if one of the more expensive houses was feasible. Either way there will be a visit to the coast next week unless both sell before then, completely possible with this overheated market.
I think it is important to keep doing things that aren't hospital related and to keep achieving things for myself. Sometimes I feel I am getting lost to myself (if that makes sense) So, a friend is in town tomorrow, so we will go to the Farmer's market tomorrow. I'm taking a flask and don't plan to spend very much at all.
Wishing you all a fabulous BH weekend
