I'm really enjoying Jamie's new series, n have been laughing, at the stress on his face, since He's been having to film it at home 😂
Just subscribed to Netflix, n it's not working , Boohoo first world problems or what
just tidied my eyebrows and given myself a skin peel. Not sure if I'll go out for a walk yet, it's horrid out there. Will do some exercise, some cleaning and some more photos.....and that will be another day of lockdown done.Does anyone keep a journal. I have kept one off and on for a few years now, it helped me enormously through the grieving process. Just writing down random thoughts and feelings...doing the same now, recording all the ins and outs of lockdown. My grandchildren might find it useful for a school project in years to come. 😂.Going to do a freezer inventory - see how I'm doing. I am going to try and avoid the supermarket for another couple of weeks or so, just use the little local shops. Only really need Fresh produce, fruit and veg, Eggs and milk, although it's not critical yet, I do have milk and f&v in the freezer and I guess I could live without eggs........Not really worth braving the supermarket for non urgent items. I'm still pretty well stocked up so why take the risk. One thing I've been thinking about.......I could probably do with Some more nice "at home" easy lounging around clothes. Thankfully the warmer weather will be here soon so I can think about digging out my summer clothes, be a nice change......getting a bit fed up now with winter clothing.Other than that all is good.......I actually began self isolating before the shut down.....16 days for me. Not gone ga ga yet - at least I don't think so......but how would I know.😂🤣7 -
LL I noticed his hair too, it Looks awful that dark 😂

Loungewear was a bit gap in my wardrobe, but thanks to Maman and her '1 mile wear' post I bought a couple of pairs of joggers to fill the gap and I have been getting my moneys worth out of them recently. Not particularly glam, but they are presentable if I need to venture out.

That is annoying about your heat and hot water Sugarbaby. At least you will be getting an early slot.
I find Jamie Oliver very irritating generally. His new cooking shows have been quite helpful, though.
I saw that the Joe Wicks PE YouTube videos have been very popular. He reminds me of a cross between Jamie Oliver and Russell Brand!
My husband has to go and buy more supplies today. My fruit bowl is empty. I really am craving some fresh fruit. All the fresh veg I have left are a few potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. He has to pick up my prescriptions too.
I was thinking that by the time life gets back to normal it might be summer! I don't really have enough summer clothes as I was planning on buying them when the weather changed. Oh well, I have to make do with what I have.
My psychologist didn't call me so I assume I still have my CBT appointment later today.
I am wearing my grey maxi dress with my black gothic t-shirt and earrings and makeup.

He is self isolating and doing social distancing when he comes home for a short visit. It is really strange to not be able to touch and hug my son or daughter. We are normally quite tactile with each other, but we all want to follow the guidelines from our Government.
Am I being informed incorrectly? I haven't seen my son for three weeks - so if this has now changed and meeting family is now allowed, to visit others outside of our households - I would like to know the facts really - but the below is what we have been following but I am wondering if things have changed?1. When am I allowed to leave the house?
You should only leave the house for very limited purposes:
- shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
- one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household
- any medical need, including to donate blood, avoid or escape risk of injury or harm, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
- travelling for work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home

I landed up shouting at the local radio presenter this morning who said (wrongly) that daily exercise is limited to one hour. Blimmin' idiot should get his facts straight before authoratitively telling people there is a time limit (when there isnt).
On another tack I've at least caught up with the ironing today - got two new pairs of trousers through for lounging around and going out dancing in - what I shall call my "hippie trousers" (very appropriate for the type of dance I'm most likely to do LOL).
Must wash my hair before going out for my daily walk now.

That chicken looked really tasty yesterday sugarbaby. And you did enough to have for healthy snacks or another meal.
I do hope your heating/hot water is sorted PDQ.
We had a meal from leftover beef last night. Normally if there's any left I just have it for my lunch or pick at it instead of snacking on 'bad' stuff but I thought I'd stretch it a bit further this week. I had veg I wanted to use up as well so I braised the beef in gravy (Bisto) and it was delicious. I'll certainly do that again.
I watched the first of Jamie Oliver's second series last night. He looked absolutely frazzled and seemed to be cooking in an outhouse rather than his main kitchen. Probably because he needed to have a hob that wasn't facing the wall. On a more general point, I have to say that I'm getting a bit fed of people almost boasting that they're finding it really difficult to manage their own children. I don't just mean the home schooling but just generally keeping them happy and occupied. It seems like some sort of badge of honour to say they're running riot.
I seem to be wearing my 'one mile clothes' permanently at the moment chanie. It's mainly leggings and a long sleeved top but I have several so I can ring the changes. I was tempted by a lovely soft hoody in H&M

but fortunately it's now out of stock so it made the decision for me. I really do have enough and I'm also hoping that warmer weather is on its way. That's why I was fancying that animal print dress in Sainsbury's. It looked cool, comfortable and strappy but not too revealing. There's an amusing piece in my paper today that says that, working from home, many women are not wearing bras!! Apparently it's an extension of a trend away from 'push ups' and towards softer styles and crop tops. I like to be comfortable but I do draw the line somewhere!
Today we'll be going out in the car. I think everyone has to interpret the 'rules' with a good pinch of common sense. We'll be doing our weekly shop and having a walk a bit further from home (in the vicinity of the supermarket) while we're out rather than making two trips. The last time we used the car was a week ago on our previous shop so definitely not going mad with unnecessary journeys. This way we're leaving the online shops for people without transport or vulnerable. That's my reasoning anyway.

Hello Ladies,
My son has to do his weekly shop as usual and also he normally brings his washing to me each week, so at the moment he is multi tasking. He is just dropping off his washing and collecting clean washing, he is not ding a social visit, so he is just in and out within 5 minutes.
I still feel these are essential journeys, but feel free to disagree.

This gave me a giggle. Everything on telly now making woman horny
I ordered some products from Lovehoney the other night.Something for me and something for my husband.
I read the reviews of the different products on Mumsnet.
I am starting healthy eating again today, it gives me something else to focus on and it will help with rationing my available food.

Thanks for the link. Some screamingly funny articles........There really are some wags about. .I'd forgotten all about the Daily Mash. I used to read it a lot, I'm going to get back on it. We definitely need To keep the laugher going. Thank God for British humour. No one can touch us for it. My friends, family and I download jokes and memes and pass them round. There are some gems out there. Just watched one where a cat brought a present for his humans.......a live duck. How he got it through the cat flap....🤔😁Was listening to Boris today.....is it me or is he sounding more Churchillian with each broadcast. He said something today - can't remember what - and I ended up absent mindedly finishing his sentence for him........with the words "on the beaches"...........😂🤣.Times like that when I miss my husbands wit. Whenever we watched a film with a big battle scene where the hero gives his pre battle Motivational speech, my husband would launch into The Agincourt speech from Henry V. The boys and I keep the tradition going. 😂🤣.SUgarbaby. .....I don't think your son is doing anything wrong. Laundry isn't optional. And I agree with Maman -those of us that can shop should do so to free up the delivery people for the folks who really need them. If we are either walking or using the car and avoiding public transport we are not putting others at risk.I think some people are frankly being ridiculous, getting paranoid and forgetting every vestige of common sense, making mountains out of molehills. What is so hard about staying at home for a while. We are so fortunate. There of course, some who have no home but most of us in the west have warmth, shelter, food and entertainment. I saw something Terry Waite said ........remember him.....he spent 1763 days in captivity, in the most appalling conditions. He said people needed to change their mindset.....that we are not stuck at home, we are safe at home.I certainly don't "get" parents who are moaning about having to care for theIr children. I used to have to bite my tongue when I heard parents moan about the 6 week summer break. If you dont want to spend time with your children then why bother having any.......
I thought the news item about the 13 year old boy who had to die alone because his family weren't able to be with him was so desperately sad. That poor frightened boy. His parents must be heartbroken they couldn't hold and comfort him. I wonder if that made the whinging parents who are whining about having to spend time with their kids stop and think for a minute.....Sadly I doubt it.There are a lot of positives in having to shut ourselves off from the world for a while. All the major religions know and understand this. I'm not a believer but even so I always enjoyed it when my school went in retreat as part of Lent.RetreatIng from the world is actually an opportunity which most people don't get to experience. It's a privilege only really enjoyed by religious orders or the rich and famous. A yoga retreat in the mountains or some peaceful Pacific island - yes please, I would jump at the chance. Most ordinary folk never have the luxury of stepping off the treadmill for a while to take Time Out. At least the pandemic is giving us this time for reflection and renewal, a time for families to cleave together and get to know one another again. Life is so hectic - it's a wonderful opportunity for everyone to slow down, take a few deep breaths and rest, to press the pause button for a while and, just as importantly, to let the world slow down and have a breathing space too.The rat race will begin again soon enough.7
