Another delicious meal sugarbaby. 😋
Is your youngest son back from University? 🙂
We're managing to find a focus for our walks LL. By looking at maps we're choosing a variety of places. Today we managed 8000+ steps around the beautiful grounds of the University, and also called in at a little Sainsburys and found eggs! 🥚😁6 -
Hello Maman,
My son's university is closed, but as he was at university in London, he has chosen to continue to live in his Urbanest accommodation in Waterloo.
He is quite concerned about doing everything he can to prevent himself from contracting corona virus. So far he is completely healthy He is self isolating and doing social distancing when he comes home for a short visit. It is really strange to not be able to touch and hug my son or daughter. We are normally quite tactile with each other, but we all want to follow the guidelines from our Government.

Thanks sugarbaby. Yes, the University here is closed too. I believe they all are but with some online teaching going on. We have a student accommodation block at the bottom of the road. I feel particularly sorry for the Chinese students (and other foreign nationals) that can't go home but must be very worried about their families. ☹️4

I feel so sorry for women who start an unwanted pregnancy at the moment. I'd have the willpower to "Just say No" until life got back to normal myself if I couldnt do whatever I decided re contraceptives/abortion if need be/etc - but I do get that some women wouldnt.
It was always a huge weight off my mind back in the day to know I could absolutely guarantee I could have an abortion if ever need arose - though, thankfully, I never had to. I do worry for women wondering how they are supposed to manage about that if need be at the moment.7 -
In all three cases these babies are very much wanted. The young women confided in my sister they were hopeful and excited. I read a few weeks ago that we could expect a baby boom, lots of Christmas babies this year. 😁.My own DIL is due around mid October. The scan revealed all seems to be well, strong heartbeat. I have an image of the scan, to marvel at. The wonders of modern technology. 😁.SUgarbaby .....that chicken looks delish. I have been watching Jamie Oliver and experimenting, using this time to widen my repertoire. I am taking photos of the dishes I cook and making a file of them so I can look them up when I need inspiration.Maman good idea about researchIng new walks......and how lovely you get to try them with your husband....can't help but feel a little pang of envy. Hey ho.. mustn't get maudlin. I think I'm spending too much time sorting photos......Making me feel a tad melancholy. Maybe have a break for a day or two. I did go for a walk and I tried a different route today to shake things up a bit. Cold wind though.
Have just watched a lovely film. "Ladies In Black". A charming little Australian film, set in a department store in 1959 Sydney. The ladies in question are sales assistants. I loved it, sweet, gentle and quite delightful.Death figures are pretty grim today........we definitely need cheerful news like new babies, nice food to eat, interesting films and books to divert us and hopefully, if we can believe the weather forecast, some sunshine at the weekend.
Stay focussed, happy and cheerful. We've made it this far.........just need to hang in there. Isolation is what we make it.7 -
Hello Ladies,
LL, I am really enjoying watching Jamie Oliver. I am recording his cookery programmes Keep Cooking and Carry On to give me inspiration.
I had jerk chicken drumsticks with pilau rice and gravy with mushrooms, sliced carrots, orange pepper and onion for a late lunch and it was delicious. I had a real craving for jerk chicken, but Caribbean takeaways cost too much, so I made my own.
Not long before it is my 58th birthday. It will be a quiet celebration at home with my younger son and daughter, but I am even more thankful that I will get to celebrate my 58th birthday on the 15th April.
I got a total of £75 for Mother's Day from my 2 sons and my younger daughter. I have treated myself to some books that I had on a list of books that I really wanted to own. I shall really enjoy reading each of these books once they arrive. I am currently reading The Wrong Boy by Willy Russell which I am enjoying, so once I have finished this book, my new books should have arrived and I will be able to start enjoying them. My older daughter had bought me gifts, which she will be posting to me with my birthday presents.

Hello Ladies,
I managed to get my last Tesco online grocery shop this morning. I did an extra large shop as I cannot be sure of getting another slot for an online delivery anytime soon.
I woke up to no hot water or central heating, so I am waiting for a Gas engineer on a 12 hour emergency appointment from my Housing Association. I am a vulnerable tenant as I have 3 types of Arthritis and an enlarged heart, or I would have had to have a 3 day appointment.
I am feeling quite exhausted today and nausea is plaguing me , but all I need to do is rest and watch TV. I have mouth ulcers again, which is no surprise, as I have a tendency to get them if I have a virus. Adult Bonjela is keeping my mouth ulcers under control.
