I have been thinking about what to wear on Christmas Day. It will only be DH and DS. I have decided on my dress with bell sleeves. I usually wear this with my pearls. I will make an effort and do my face. I will wear my slippers all day
Tonight I will have a nice bath with some new bubble bath.Debt free and Keeping on Track6 -

That is cute Chanie.
I started watching another TV Christmas film yesterday but it was rubbish so we watched another couple of episodes of Star Trek Discovery before my husband went to work.
I remembered another Christmas film that I liked Just Friends, it is a romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds. I only managed half before I felt tired so I will watch the rest later.
I tried to go back to sleep when my husband got in this morning but I woke up with a headache. There are meant to be storms here so that might be why. I don't know why that often happens that I get a headache before a storm.
I have to go and get cat food later as we have run out and also pick up a prescription if it is there. I am doing a hair treatment now although if it is raining my hair will be all frizzy when I get home!

Yesterday I noticed that Amir Latif (blind traveller) was on Celebrity Masterchef tonight. I first heard and saw him on Masterchef earlier this year (or was it last year)? Anyways I was struck by his positivity and sense of humour. I have woken up today and decided to be more like Amir, positive and put my best face forward at all times. I have put a dress on with a belt and done my make up properly for the first time in a year since I took early retirement a year ago. I have put two Christmas clips in my hair one a reindeer and the other a Christmas pudding (I am 60 next year)! I have realised that fabbing does work! I am off to the butcher in the village for some milk and then will spend the rest of the day doing a bit of baking and watching TV.Debt free and Keeping on Track6

Fabbing does indeed work......dressing up and making an effort to look good can elevate your every day and, in time, it will elevate the quality of your whole life. How?? I don't know - it's magic. But here's the thing, it works. When we look good, we feel good and when we feel good we look good....what I like to call a virtuous circle.Well I'm not being very virtuous this Morning.😂. In fact quite the opposite, I'm being very decadent, lazing in bed and sipping a cup of coffee. And why not, I've earned a rest and after all, the solstice, the onset of winter, is a time for rest, sleep, and time to just unwind a little. As we all know, only too well, it's been a horrible year so I feel no guilt at taking time now to rest and recuperate from it all. It's very soggy outside, in fact it's a filthy day, thankfully I have no pressing need to go anywhere or do anything. Shopping all done, house decorated, presents wrapped. All sorted. So it just remains for me to wish you all a wonderful Christmas. It will be a quiet one and for many who are isolated and alone it might feel lonely. But, as the end of this horrible year draws to a close, try to focus on the positives. All things must pass, even covid. One day it will be over and we will be out and about again, seeing our loved ones again. We have got this far, we can do this. Pamper yourselves, dress up, eat some nice food, indulge yourselves in things that give you pleasure.
Stay safe and warm ladies and, however you are spending Christmas, alone or with your bubble, I wish you all peace, joy and contentment.Merry Christmas Everyone , ❤️❤️8 -
Great positivity coming through the posts on here. 😊 Well done on getting fabbed up Mrs Porridge and sticking to your film plans Wednesday.
I went to my dancing class yesterday. It's been off for a few weeks but that was because the teacher was unavailable not tier restrictions. I got dressed up in my long, silky green skirt and a matching fine knit jumper. I got a compliment from a friend, which was pleasing. The class is held in a dance studio with floor to ceiling mirrors so I knew it was worth the effort plus the mirrors make me very conscious of posture so I know LL would be proud of me. 😉 I'm finding that wearing masks makes me make more effort with my eyes. My eyebrows look good after last week's wax and tint and I've been using a brow highlighter as well as mascara. I prefer that to eye shadow which tends to settle in stripes!
I finished my food shopping yesterday. I had planned o go today but with all the news broadcasts about possible shortages and panic buying I decided to get it done while I was out. I'm glad I didn't put it off as it's wet and windy here today so I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere.
Not seen pixie lately. Hope you're OK if you're reading along. 😊
More pottering today and, if I get bored, I might read or watch some TV. I have got White Christmas on catch up as I've never seen it. 😊6 -
Maman enjoy White Christmas - its one of my favourites, but I'm a big fan of "swing" music. I always cry at the endingDebt free and Keeping on Track5

That is nice that you got out to dance Maman.
I got my prescription finally as I got up early this morning to go as there was a big queue outside yesterday afternoon. I only had to wait a few minutes today. I have been organised today as I got up so early, I have read some of my book and done the laundry and decluttered some paperwork. I am about to make a weekly meal plan that I want us to stick to once all the Christmas food has been eaten. I hope that will help me lose the few pounds I gained and save some money by cutting down our food bill as it has been ridiculous this year. I am also going to make a list of "wants" and "needs" for the new house when we move as it still could be next year we leave London.
I am going to relax afterwards and watch another Christmas film. I wore my black and white tunic over my leggings with my brown boots and my sparkly scarf out today. It is much more chilly here but gorgeous and sunny.
I hope everyone has the best Christmas they can despite the circumstances!xxx

I finally got around to making my wreath yesterday. Me and DD went out to collect the foliage, but I had to use a plant identifier app to work out what was what. I’ve never made a wreath before, so although it isn’t brilliant, it’s a good first attempt (I think).
