I have just made up a bag of clothes to donate as I assume the charity shops will be closing from Wednesday as we are in tier 3 now.

I ordered myself an LED mini x-mas tree, a faux fur covered hot water bottle and a new address book. I'm not planning on seeing anyone over x-mas apart from my husband and probably the people in the local shops. My husband went to Superdrug yesterday to get us some toiletries as I wasn't sure if that would be a store that would stay open.

I went out to post off a few cards and then realised I had forgotten to write one for my vet and my GP so I will post the rest tomorrow. It's quite sunny and warm here today, strangely enough.

I have started a new book today - it's called Fear Less and it is written by the psychologist Dr Pippa Grange who helps professional athletes and CEOs.

I won a beauty therapy voucher at the schools Xmas fundraiser, which was a lovely surprise.  I also have a beauty treatment voucher for my birthday, which I couldn’t use due to lockdown, so i booked a treatment for Friday.
 I’m also getting my roots done next week, as my hairdresser said she could fit me in. 

As we approach Christmas, my workload is slowing down, as people start winding down.  It’s been a hectic few weeks with lots of long hours.  As things are slowing down, it’s a good opportunity for some pampering.

I too have been slowing down these last few days, taking time to pamper myself a bit, facials, manicures and pedicures, a couple of massages. 

I have been thinking a lot about 2020, and the lessons learned. Well let's face it, it's given us a lot to think about.  I think it has been a watershed year, one that has given us all a time for reflection and perhaps to rethink what we really value in life, what we want to achieve, how we might want to change or reshape our future.  

For me it has been life changing.  I have learned so much about myself, about what really matters to me and what I want to prioritise as we move into 2021.  I have chosen my word for 2021, which I will reveal in the New Year 😉 .  

I have decided that the time is ripe to set up a little business next year. No more procrastinating.  Time to get my a@@ in gear.........I am going to capitalise on my "passion for fashion" and love of antiques etc. I will set up a vintage clothing business. I am aiming to be ready to launch officially in the spring, although I will probably start by having a pre launch declutter  to clear the decks ready for action.   I have made a start on organising a spare room as my office/stock room. 

My little venture won't make me rich but hopefully it will be a nice little hobby business, one where I can work at my own pace, doing something I enjoy whilst earning a little bit of extra income.  

Soon be the solstice and then the days will lengthen again.  It will be spring again before we know it. Already I can see the new bulbs I planted peaking through.  It always amazes to see nature's miracle,  even in the darkest depths of winter the earth is getting ready for rebirth and renewal.
