I was saying that to someone else online Saving. Time seems to have gone quickly and dragged at the same time this year.
I went to the shop last night to get wine and popcorn to watch the concert. I wore the Dotty P shirt dress that was really big on me as a coat. My husband said it did look just like a black trench coat. I took my leopard print bag to match my umbrella even though it was dark and only 5 minutes walk to the shop.
The Blossoms concert was so good! They were standing in a circle on stage at Brixton and there were lit Christmas trees and lights all around them. It was so nice to watch "live" music again.
My husband is working overtime this weekend and I want to give the house a good clean and wash the bedding. I'm probably going to start one of my books too as I have a stack of about 8 paper books upstairs.
It's very quiet on here, how is everyone?6 -
I'm still here, reading along WEDNESDAY.Not much to report ,except my brain scan has come back clear, so they can rule Parkinson's out .I still need an MRI to investigate why I'm struggling to walk properly, n keep falling though
Fabbing wise, I bought some biotin n collagen shampoo, to try n thicken my hair, n it seems to be helping a bit.Not as much is falling out anyway 🤣
I also treated myself to a SAD lamp, to stave of the winter blues 😉"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Apparently the local Salvation Army have a wish list on Amazon so you can buy toys without having to go to shop or take to Salvation Army. I use Amazon but I haven't got a clue how you find someones wish list. Any ideas? I'm going to go and explore.6

Did some searches, eventually went to the local Salvation Army website and it looks like the Amazon list isn't running but you can still donate cash so I'll have to do that. I'd like to have chosen toys but it will have the same result.7

My husband had a neuro phone appointment this week and he is going to try beta blockers. His tremors aren't that bad and I warned him the tablets might have side-effects but he is going to try them anyway.

What a lovely idea to dress up and get the wine and popcorn in for your virtual gig Wednesday. I'm sure it's worth making the effort.😊
I like leopard print too. I've got a face mask and slippers that I'm wearing regularly at the moment. In fact some lookalikes for my slippers were on the fashion pages this week. Mine are well worn so I will try to replace them in M&S. The ones in the paper were a silly price.

I really liked this jumper for dressing up at home too but not so keen on the price.

I need to go into the city centre at some point for some special family Christmas cards and a few other bits. I'll see if I can find some cheaper jumpers as I've been wearing them more often since the weather got colder.
The local foodbank has a website and an app with a traffic light shopping list for what they are desperate for (red), running short of (amber) and have plenty of (green). I bought a bag of the 'red' items today , mainly tinned meats and toiletries, and dropped them off on my way home from the shops. I've seen a number of heart wrenching appeals from various charities pixie but I'm reluctant to donate with my email or mobile in case they pester me afterwards. DH donated to MenUtd, the prostate charity, after his uncle died and he got a number of nagging phone calls. Perhaps if you have a local Salvation Army place you could donate there in person. Of course, it could be that DH forgot to click a box that said not to contact him. 🤔
Good news today that one of my dance classes can restart. It won't be until later in the month, because the teacher has other commitments, but it really cheered me up. 😊
Feeling generally much brighter today, we even had some pale sunshine. Hope everyone else is keeping safe and happy too. 😊7 -
Maman I stopped donations to a couple of charities, I made a regular monthly payment but they kept hassling me to increase and I did a couple of times but the time came when I said if they did it again I'd cancel my donation, they did and I did.
I donate monthly to Unicef and apart from an initial letter thanking me I've heard nothing since so I am happy with that.7 -

Candygirl sometimes these things are so hard to figure out. I had problems, started when I was pregnant but carried on, my right leg would disappear and I'd fall over, I had strange numbness. Well I had all sorts of scans and tests and couldn't find anything. Consultant decided it was likely MS. A woman I worked with kept saying it was the baby pressure you need to see a chiropractor. Well I ignored that for months but when I was waiting for the MS specialist I decided to give it a go. Well it was like a miracle, I felt great when I got off the table but she said it would slip back so I had a series of appointments. By the time I saw the Consultant all symptoms had gone. I told him my husband said it was rubbish but he said, "Who cares, if you see a witch doctor and it sorts it out I'm not going to worry about it." I've never had any more trouble.
My other strange cure was performed by a painter and decorator! That is a funny one. I was working in a very old building and I had repeated chest infections, such a bad cough I broke ribs and ended up on an inhalor. I had xrays and all sorts. I was so run down I was off sick and then took a weeks holiday. Felt great and went back to work to find my office had been decorated. The decorator told me there was black mold under the paper and he'd had to treat the wall. I never had any more trouble. I had an appointment booked with the GP to check on the inhalor and I told him I was cured, he sat back in his chair and asked what happened and I told him the decorator cured me. Obviously he looked a little puzzled and then I told him the story. He laughed and I told him it was a poor business when doctors can't cure you but a decorator can. He saw the funny side, the student who was observing looked very unamused.
I hope you find it is something strange but easily cured when they work it out.
