It is so sad to see the passing of civil rights politicians like Congressman  John Lewis  and John Hume dying within days of each other. It is sad to see the passing of the generation  who changed  history.

Good morning lovely ladies......

brrrrrr. Feeling very autumnal here this morning, hopefully the sun is on it's way again in the next couple of days.   Just returned from shopping And feel chilled so warming myself up with a coffee and a naughty warm cheese and ham croissant.  Only a small one though and points counted.  I could eat another one, but won't because I'm being very virtuous.  Actually it's going well. I'm feeling trimmer already. It will be worth it.  Will have to have a zero point lunch and low point dinner to compensate.  

Popped into Wilko........the shelves looked very bare. Hardly any paint. Couldn't get everything I wanted. Will have to try B@Q another day.   Don't know ifthey struggling and about to go under, or whether they Are just having supply issues.  A lot of businesses going under though.  Not a day goes by but you hear of more casualties.  DW sports now in receivership.  Their gym here was good, a nice pool and membership was a lot less than David Lloyd's.  Hopefully they will get a buyer and the gym will reopen one day.  

Popped into a couple of chazzers.....didn't buy anything.  It was mainly a load of old tat. It's all a bit in between.....half summer, some winter.  Nothing really took my eye except a little hermatite bead necklace for 50P. Hermatite, like magnets or copper,  is supposed to be good for arthritis.  At 50p it's worth a shot and they are pretty.  I already have a longer version so I could probably wear the two together.......double the healing power.😉

Well my gardening plans are scuppered, too cold for me. I suppose that means I now Have no excuse not to get the hoover out.  😂.

I feel exhausted, don't know why as I haven't done much.  I think I might have to go and have a sleep or I will nod off in the chair and I hate that.  I feel like I did before my hypothyroidism was diagnosed, I'd forgotten  how exhausted I was all the time.  Maybe I need a blood test to check my levels.

Helen my local B&Q is also running low on supplies in the decorating aisles.  Lots of empty spaces, paints all jumbled up, no sandpaper, running low on white spirit etc.  I think a lot of people who were furloughed took the opportunity to do do some DIY.

Whilst we are on the subject, I have pretty much finished all of the tasks that I set out to do, decorating wise, although, I have some final touch ups.  Some of the woodwork could do with a refresh, but I’ll leave that to OH. 

My next task is more decluttering and organising.   We have our new fridge arriving on Saturday and we will have to wait in all day for it (I’m too tight to pay for a specific slot ha ha), so I’ll have plenty of time to dedicate to this.

My local branch of The Range seems well stocked, if there is one nearby might be worth a look.

I think part of the issue with supplies is that when furloughs started a lot of stock was bought, then the supply chain has faltered because there have been breaks in production so stuff hasn't been made to enable the stores to restock the shelves.

PIXIE I'm exhausted too with hypothyroidism, n my hair n nails are in awful  condition .Think I need another blood test too 😯
Fabbing wise, I've done a pedicure today, n painted my nails turquoise. It's always been my fave nv colour since the 80's 😂😂

Those nails sound great, I've got a voucher for two treatments at a local place and I'm thinking of having a manicure and pedicure.  A treat might do me good.  I've been using a shampoo called Nioxin and it has really improved my hair, I was just thinking this morning how much it has improved, looks like I've got twice as much hair.  It is more expensive than what I usually buy but it lasts for ages.

More decluttering today. We are currently prepping the paddling pool for tomorrow’s heatwave.

My sunflowers are all blooming.  Very pleased.
