I had a bad sleep last night, I also had a free standing fan on in our bedroom but it still felt airless.
I just vacuumed upstairs and cleaned the bathroom floor and I feel all sweaty!
The wardrobe thing is really bugging me. I don't particularly want to support fast fashion but if the chazzers don't open I will have to. It's July next week and I want some new outfits for my weekend away at the end of July.
I just put pink nail polish on my fingernails because why not?

It's baking here too. Fortunately our bedroom, dining room and the front of the sitting room are north facing so stay fairly cool as they don't get full sun on them. That makes it quite comfortable indoors. I react badly to changes in air pressure too LL. I don't get nosebleeds but sinus type headaches.
You obviously anticipated that your clothes rail was on its last legs (literally) sugarbaby. You did well to have a replacement at the ready and your son to help you put it together.Yesterday I went through my drawer of tops and tee shirts. A few have gone into the CS bag although I might retrieve one. The others I washed (except for ones I know I've done recently) so they're waiting for ironing. I'm going to do the drawer of jumpers next. I've been really good at keeping my tops and jumpers tidy since I MKd the drawers. It's so easy to choose what I want seeing everything at a glance. Bedding washed today. I like to change it more regularly in the hot weather.
What about looking on eBay Wednesday? You might find something for your holiday? I've been wearing the same few outfits for the past 3 months. Mostly leggings and various tops but I have got two dresses out for the hottest weather, one short for wearing at home and the loose, linen one that I wore to Tuesday's BBQ. I don't like shorts as I have a long body and I never find them comfortable. This week's fashion articles were about swimsuits and kaftans. I've always favoured bikinis as a one piece isn't comfortable on me. This season's bikinis seem to have high waisted bottoms although I doubt they'll be selling too many. The kaftans I can understand as they'd be perfect for being cool and covering up any excess weight gained in lockdown.
This brand seemed to have some nice ones:

Jane Austen (like most novelists) uses a lot of observations from her personal life in her books sashy. Two of her brothers were naval officers so gave her the insight for the setting of Persuasion. They lived locally because Portsmouth was considered too rough a place for officers! There are lots of links around here with Austen which makes the books even more interesting.
Today is shopping day!For the past few weeks there's been far less queuing but I suspect today might be a bit f a free for all with everyone trying to buy in for weekend BBQs. I have enough food in so we won't starve but I do hope I can get what I need without having to trail around several shops.

Oh, yes, Maman, I might look on ebay. I have an old account that I haven't used in years. Depop is another used clothing place I've heard of.2025 GOALS

Well I'm back for a chat......😂. Far too hot outside, even in the shade. Reminds of FIL, who was stationed in Egypt in WW2. When he used to reminisce my husband used to wind up his dad, imitating his voice and saying 120F "in the shade". His dad would explode and say "There was no blasted shade". All good fun. I miss them both, they made a good double act.....a bit like Jack Whitehall and his dad. I love their comedy, the dad is a hoot, and Jack is a sweetheart, so "English". 😂.Maman. I meant to say I love Jane Austin, I'm a real fan. Not quite so keen on Mansfield Park but love all her other books, so witty and very observant. My favourite is "Persuasion" too. Not quite so "showy" and not as popular as the others, but I think it has great depth. I think it does probably appeal more to older readers because the subject matter is really all about second chances. And let's face it we all make mistakes in life and we all love a second chance.......😂.....especially those of the romantic varieties. Having said all that I don't regret my first marriage, even if it did end in divorce. It helped shape me and gave me the confidence I badly needed. He was a good man, just not the "right man". 😉.It would be lovely if I could meet "Mr Right Again" - and enjoy a Sunset Romance. One last final fling........Who knows.....Maybe. I once worked in a sheltered housing complex.....one of our ladies there, well into her 80s had had 4 husbands (widowed 4 times). One of the male residents was quite keen on her but she told me she wasn't interested. When I asked why not, she said because he was rather dull and she wanted someone with a bit more "pep". 😂🤣.I know what she means......Both Of the Johns I met were nice enough but a bit lacking in "pep". 😉. Adrian on the last cruise was a real sweetie and although he seemed quite keen I could tell he wasn't really ready.........he was widowed. I could tell he was still grieving his wife.My DIL was teasing me yesterday about finding a new man. She's convinced someone like Andy Garcia would be right for me.......😂. I'm always reminded of Candygirls comment.....men of a certain age seem to be looking for either a nurse or a purse......so true.......sometimes they even want both. 😱.Anyway I have made some appts at last.......physio, opticians and a hospital eye appt. can't get through to the hairdressers though. Never mind I'll keep trying. It's a step in the right direction. The physio is the most important for now so I'm glad I've got that sorted.I tried ebay this week for some bits but the one item I really liked best went over what I was prepared to pay. I wasn't fussed about the others so didn't actually bother bidding in the end. I haven't mooched round Sainsburys for ages, not once during lockdown. I though I might give them a whirl one day next week.6

Shopping was fine. Far less queuing than in the early days of lockdown but that could be because more people are back at work. Unfortunately, since they've put 'traffic lights' on the doors at Aldi, more people are ignoring the 1 adult per trolley advice so the shop's getting fuller, making it harder to social distance.
I bought more of the Aldi Jo Malone style rose perfume. It's perfectly acceptable for everyday wear. I bought it originally at £5.99 but it's currently reduced at £3.99 so I bought two bottles. I still plan to treat myself to the original but I've still got some of the grapefruit one to finish off.
Many of my friends belong to U3A and do some really interesting things but the best ones don't live hugely close. The more local groups don't appeal so much but I think I'll browse the websites when groups start up again and see if I fancy anything.
Hope you get lucky with eBay. Sugarbaby seems to have lots of really good quality clothes, shoes and handbags that she buys on there. I suppose it's a bit like the CSs or TKMaxx or some other shops. You have to keep looking and sometimes you'll be lucky.

Thanks for the good wishes girls x
A lovely neurologist rang me, n asked lots of pertinent questions. The upshot is he's sending me for 2 MRIs, which I hate as I'm claustrophobic!! He also thinks stress has contributed to all my Neuro issues"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Candygirl you must be relieved that at last you have had your neurological consultation. The 2 MRI's will be a necessary evil for you to get a definitive diagnosis. Take care of yourself and try not to be too stressed by your current situation with all of your nero issues you are coping with.6
