I shouldn't complain but tbh I'm finding it a bit much. It's the humidity that bothers me. Probably because I live so far inland, no cooling sea breezes.Popped myself on the scales this Morning. 😱. Wished I hadn't. I feel fat, frumpy, lumpy and dumpy. Oh well.....I will just enjoy my holiday And then get back on track. I might even join WW online to give me a kickstart.Still in the grand scheme of things fortunately I'm not back up to my pre diet weight....but I have put a good stone back on.4

i know how you feel LL. I am up 2 kg. I hover at the same point. I have done little exercise as no motivation in the last month.
I decluttered all the fat clothes and am not going to have to fit into smaller clothes. I have to keep weight constant or lower or have nothing to wear. Hopefullyit will motivate me. I want to join some sort of slimming thing, even to meet people and motivate me to loose weight.
Honestly we can do more later but keeping the mental health is vital at this time. It will be ok, we can do it. One step at a time.
I got rid of some shoes- some are in great condition but too high for regular use. They are taking up too much space for not wearing. I have to cut losses and get rid. This shoe thing is the hardest for me, no rational but really difficult.
Despite needing to loose weight I will have to eat down from the freezer to save some money- I got a lot of annual bills in this month and got building works done now that the lock down has eased a bit. It will add to the overall value but sometimes it is rotten to see the money leaving your account!

Fortunately, one of the few things I've kept fairly normal during lockdown is food. If anything, I've been even better than usual as we've not been able to eat out when it's more difficult to make healthy choices. I was tempted to drink more at first but I've limited that fairly successfully to weekends. Cooking and the pattern of meals has helped keep a structure to the days too.
I had a day off yesterday as we went to our friends for a BBQ. It was great to do something normal. I did wear a dress but just a loose one as it was too hot for anything more formal.
It's been baking hot here today too and tomorrow is set to be hotter! I've no inclination to join the hordes at the seaside. Today I stayed indoors most of the time, pottered about and listened to an audio book of Jane Austen's Persuasion. Fortunately, the front of our house is north facing so some rooms are relatively cool.
I've got lazy on the exercise too. We started off having a daily walk but that stopped. We did go out on Monday but I think I'll wait until the weather cools down before going again. 😎6 -
Hello Ladies,
It is so good having my son at home. He and his sister love playing music quizzes together, but they are not competitive, so it is full of laughs and them helping each other out.
I am now weighing 16 stones 9 pounds, so LL I understand your horror at gaining a stone of the almost 3 stones that you lost. But unlike you, I do not feel frumpy, just fatter. I am now logging all of the calories in the food and snacks that I consume in my food diary. As I lost 1 stone 4 pounds when I was in the worst stages of Covis-19, I am not too despondent at my current weight gain, as when my appetite finally came back, it did so with a vengeance.
I still suffer from too much fatigue to start exercising again. Also right now, it would be far too hot to exercise. Next week I should have the results of my chest x-ray. Apparently if I have lung scarring it will be irreversible.
My old metal clothes rail where I hung my tops in my bedroom, finally buckled and collapsed yesterday. Lucky for me I was in my bedroom when it happened, so I could take all of the clothing off the broken clothes rail and leave them in 2 neat piles on my bed. Then I set about assembling the new clothes rail with the help of my son that I had bought from Groupon. Not an ideal activity on such a hot evening, but totally necessary. I got so stressed and sweaty but in the end my son and I had put the clothes rail together successfully and I was able to rehang all of my tops, cardigans and jumpers.
My Tesco grocery delivery this week has ready meals, pizzas and other convenience foods, as it is simply too hot for me to enjoy doing lots of home cooking this week. Once it becomes cooler, I will be home cooking again.5 -
I hate this heat. I haven't been out for a walk in days.
I'm still doing the double cleansing both in the morning and at night. I think my skin looks better.
I really need some new clothes. OMG, I cannot wait for the chazzers near me to open. I'm wearing my navy spotty dress, my navy Next dress and my black maxi dress and that is all! I have a lot of jumpers but not a lot of summer clothing,5 -
This heat is horrible, we're just not set up properly for it. The only good thing is that we got a few washings done and dried on the line.
It has been so warm all day, DS was running around my mum's garden with wee rosy cheeks and I had such a fight getting sun cream on him, you'd have thought I was trying to kill him by the amount of screeching. 😂 Poor DD has been suffering and grumpy, she's asleep in her cot in just her nappy and with a fan rotating to try and cool the room down a bit.
I burn pretty much as soon as the sun hits me so I've been either indoors or in the shade.
Maman I love Persuasion by Jane Austen, it's such an underrated novel. I did have to read it more than once before I really "got" it but I think that was down to age and I was too young the first time I read it to really appreciate it.
I used an avocado sheet face mask a few nights ago and it felt really lovely and cooling at the time but it brought out a giant red bump on my cheekbone the following day. 😱 I thought it was a spot as it was so sore to the touch but it was just red and painful, it's only started going down today.
I did a tiny bit of garden fabbing this evening by deadheading my roses and tying up my sweet peas to the trellis at the front of the house. DH did all the watering and I found a mini cucumber and a yellow courgette that were ready to be picked in the greenhouse. 😊Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.6 -
Hi Ladies, hope You're all ok in this heat ! It seems even hotter than Goa for me, but it maybe because I'm trying to do jobs
Tomorrow I have my long awaited neurology appointment, now by phone. I've made a list of my symptoms, but have had 2 falls this week, as my legs are very wobbly n weak.
WEDNESDAY, I can't wait to go chazzers shopping again too xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Good morning lovely ladies......
Candygirl ....good luck with your neuro appt this morning. Hope you get some answers.I just nipped out to the little shop for a few bits this Morning.....dont Think I will really need much This next week or so because I'm running down stocks a bit before the holiday. No rain here yet....I think it might be tomorrow before it arrives. Still humid here. Last night I dug out my free standing fan. I don't really like them, especially for sleeping but I must admit it made a big difference and I did at least get a decent nights sleep. Feel much better this Morning, yesterday morning I felt dreadful, complete heat exhaustion and a really upset tummy. Oh dear I do sound like a right Moaning Minnie but this intense heat really doesn't sit well with me, I do find it overpowering.I had a slight nose bleed last night, something I often get when it's hot and sultry. Maybe I should move nearer to the coast. 😂. I've often thought about it but I would miss my family too much. We had a lovely BBQ yesterday, DS cooked. DIL is 26 weeks now, baby moving well but she is finding the heat difficult and is getting a lot of backache. Bless her, the joys of pregnancy. 🤔.I'm going to hit the phone today and see if I can make some appts for when I get back off my holiday.....hair, eyes, dentist etc. Time for some maintenance. I actually feel like I could do with an MOT. But given my current weight gain and general lack of overall fitness I'd probably fail it. 😂🤣. Never mind......I'll get back to it after the holiday.Wednesday I know what you mean about living in the same few outfits....,I've had to buy a some loose linen trousers during this heatwave because my existing trousers, jeans etc are feeling a tad snug due to that weight gain. Another reason to get back on track. I refuse to have to buy a whole new wardrobe again. I got rid of all my "fat" clothes, and I'm NOT going down that route again. I've got some lovely clothes now, just waiting for me to get svelte again. At least my nails are loving this weather. I've always had good strong nails but they are growing so fast at the moment. A weekly manicure is a must, although I haven't bothered with nail varnish for a while, not much point when I'm in garden or diy mode.Have a great day y'all.6 -
