savingfortomorrow saidSugar. Does your local library do borrow box as the app saves me a fortune. It allows really good selection of books for free.

saving I have the BorrowBox app from my library and I think it’s great. I also have a magazine op from the library too and it’s got lots of women’s glossies on there. Congratulation on your weight loss.
maman no, I didn’t watch the fashion programme, but will keep an eye out for it.
helen your break sounds like a great idea and something that will do you all the world of good.
ive finished my job, so I’m technically unemployed for the first time, ever. I’ve always worked full time, so I’m looking forward to having a bit of time off, whist I’m looking for something else. I’m going to use this time productively to spend some time with the children, complete some jobs around the house and just to enjoy some down time.
We still haven’t had news from Tui on our summer holiday yet. TUI have cancelled all holidays to around mid July, but we are due to go to Spain at the end of July, so we aren’t technically cancelled yet.4 -

helensbiggestfan saidThe weather looks good for the next week or so, so I'm going to crack on with with trying to organise the garden a bit. Managed to do some planting but it was hard work, the soil is heavy clay so even though the rain had softened it a bit it was still heavy going. Rough on the knee🤣.
Hi all, have just caught up after a long absence - I've been stuck at home with my 3 year old DS and 8 month old DD during this lockdown. We're in Scotland but have just started to see my mum again because DS was really struggling mentally after not seeing her for nearly 3 months. They are really close and he asked every day to see her. ☹️
LL - have you tried clay breaker for the soil in your garden? I have clay soil and it helps to break the soil down a bit to make it easier to dig.
In fabbing news I have started to do a bit of cardio tone on youtube - Lucy Wyndham-Read's videos are pretty good and she has loads of short ones from 7 mins onwards. I have been doing yoga with Adriene for years now and always enjoy her workouts/30 day challenges. I have definitely put on weight after having DD in October, being stuck in lockdown on maternity leave and comfort eating to compensate.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Had Sashybo....good to hear from you again. Good you are managing to see your mum again. Its funny you mentioned claybreaker. I googled for advice today about clay soil and Claybreaker was mentioned on several gardening websites. So I ordered some earlier.🤣6

How weird about the clay breaker LL. 😂 I found it very good when I was prepping a bed for a rhubarb crown. Left it to work for a few weeks and then dug some compost and fish, blood and bone mix through it as well to add nutrients to the soil.

Good morning lovely ladies.....
Another one with aches and pains today, although unlike poor Candy I did sleep ok. I think for me it's the abrupt changes in weather that trigger flare ups. My body can't seem to adjust fast enough. It's very damp and chilly here this morning but apparently the sun is on it's way. My husband used to joke I must have some lizard D&A because I need heat to get me moving.😂. I think he might have been right........Watched the news footage of people queuing for the shops this morning. Good for them, but I think I can wait until the fuss dies down. I don't need anything that desperately. I must confess I'm looking forward to hopefully a bit normality, shops are a start. This year I thought rather than individual birthday presents for DS1,DIL and GS I did think of buying a family subscription to our local zoo for GS but again have decided to wait .....maybe next year. GS2 will be here by then too.Maman. You asked about refundable deposits for our week away. Because it's such short notice we have paid the full amount. DIL booked it so I don't know the full terms and conditions but I'm sure she will have checked all that out. I do know she took out some extra 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, both for damage.....just in case GS broke anything so I should imagine we're covered for most eventualities. She's pretty savvy that way - very belt and braces. 😂.Was talking to my DS2 and his girlfriend yesterday - they popped round for a couple of hours. It was lovely to see them. (DS even put my cupboard doors back on for me, bless his heart. The kitchen starting to look really good now).Anyway we got round to talking about holidays...like me they have abandoned the idea of foreign travel this year and instead have booked for next February. I think this will be my plan. I'm aiming for a winter cruise to somewhere warm so I might start keeping my eyes open for a bargain. I noticed the cruise lines have some good offers and they do seem to be dealing with cancellations very fairly, either returning deposits or issuing credits and swapping dates with no penalties or admin fees. I'm a member of a couple of cruising forums so am trying to keep up to date. A friend has just booked for a late deal in August. Can't say as I blame her. I'm happy enough to wait until next year, my little break in the Peak District will be enough to satisfy my wanderlust for now.😉One good thing about social distancing is that for once solo travellers are being treated a bit more equally....not being forced to pay Exhorbitant solo supplements. Anyone would think they want our business. 😂6 -
I just finished reading my two magazines that arrived this month. There was an article about double cleansing at night that I had forgotten I had read about before. I think we were talking about it on here. They were saying that you should use a non-foaming face wash, although I like the feeling of foaming face wash.
We are dropping some stuff off at the tip this week which I'm very glad about. I'm also looking forward to getting rid of bags of stuff to the charity shops next week. I will get my husband to check which ones are open when he goes back to work at the weekend.
I did place an order from Superdrug at the weekend. I wanted to try a turmeric face pack I read about and then just bought normal things like toothpaste and shower gel. I did start using soap in the shower and bath during lockdown but it kept leaving a weird film around the bath so it's back to shower gel!
