Good afternoon lovely ladies....
Candy - sorry to see you awake in the middle of the night, horrible when that happens.Wednesday - me too about chazzers etc. I just want to be able to browse at my leisure, pick up the odd treat or bargain, maybe even splurge and have a cup of coffee. Or even the odd breakfast or lunch. I am actually starting to feel angry and resentful now.....stupid I know but I can feel a slow burn of rage starting to build up. I've well and truly had enough.Anyhoo, I felt so cheesed off this morning I went to Aldi and did a bit of a stock up. An as an act of rebellion against my strict regime of healthy eating I bought myself some chocolate.😂🤣. Never thought I'd see the day when the highlights of my life would be a trip to the supermarket........
I find my thoughts straying to holidays..........trips to exotic locations, cruises and spa days. I think I'm just craving some luxury or at least something to break the wretched monotony of it all. Books, films etc are losing their appeal.......I want the real thing, real life adventure, excitement and above all, some fun. 🥳.As for DIY, painting etc The mere thought of it sickens me and bores me to tears 🥱
In the words of Queen. "I want to break free". 🤪.5 -
I'm dying to break free too LL, and DIY has always bored me to death .Wish I could be as resourceful as some of you Ladies
Omg if they only let 2 people in each chazzer, me n the Bestie will miss shouting across the shop to each other, every time we find something ! 😂😂
Sleepwise , I'm terrible at the mo , so have just ordered some more night time Kalms , that seem to work a bit .
Talking of choc, has anyone had the giant Bourneville buttons? Omg they're so lush 😋"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I haven't had the choccie buttons yet Candygirl and they are vegan. A vegan woman on a forum I'm on keeps raving about them.
LL - I am getting increasingly irritated being at home too.
I was just saying on another thread on here that we have booked a hotel by the coast for the end of July and they took our booking. The vet also said that they will take our dogs in to board for that weekend so maybe that is when things will get back to some sort of normal?

Listened to the PM tonight. I don''t like to tell him that LL has been trialling the support bubble for weeks on his behalf. 😁3

I honestly think this is something the government could have trusted people to do before now. I would have thought If both parties have stuck rigidly to the guidelines, especially with home deliveries etc there should be little risk of infecting each other.5 -
Things are slowly opening around here too . I notice Boundary Mill at Colne, quite local to me is opening on the 15th as are some other stores. Yes , you can only watch so many films, read so many books, a novelty at first then you find yourself wanting to do more 'normal' stuff, just a cup of coffee in m and s and a browse. My garden is coming on great, all the fencing done. The decking should be delivered tomorrow for them to install as soon as. My garden harbour which I bagged for free will go on the decking, its nicely painted sage/cream, little bit of lovely Laura Ashley bunting in sage colours on the back panel, and a Cath Kidston cushion on the seat. All my pots are painted a lovely dark green, and plants in. I really feel as if its coming together. Its been quite expensive but it needed doing. I am in school tomorrow morning, then 2 mornings next week. I have been so glad of the time off. I have done things that I never found time to do!The weather should pick up again. On the subject of charity shops I have plenty of donations when they do open!5

Your garden sounds really lovely sheila. I'm sure you could open it to the public... with social distancing of course. 😉
I agree about the lack of trust LL. So many of the 'rules' are completely illogical that it undermines confidence. I've never understood why earlier on it was OK to meet and chat with random strangers in the queue at Sainsburys or in the park but not with your own friends and family. We've been trying to be very good. The only thing we've stretched is that DD1 has been dropping off some shopping each week and having a chat from the end of the drive. I know that's allowed but not, perhaps, when I'm able to do my own shopping. 😁
Today I should have been arriving in our apartment in Turkey for three weeks in the sun. ☹️5 -
Boris can bubble off !! 🤣🤣SHEILA sshhhsshh about Boundary Mill ! My Mum loves it, but I absolutely despise it there. It reminds me of the film Cocoon 😂
Have anyone else's nails gone funny with all the anti bac gel?"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I've been limiting the use of handgel. I only use it when I'm out in the car after I've been in shops or for a walk. At home I prefer soap and water and plenty of hand cream. 😁5

Watched Cocoon the other week.😂. Those American senior living facilities you see in films look like my idea of hell on Earth. 😉.4
