thanks Maman for your compliments about the garden. Hopefully, it will all pull together and be a nice space. sorry that you arent getting to Turkey. It was always a favourite with us. We first started going about 1998 and went each year for 2 wks when girls were little, then just a wk , usually spring bank when they were older then we would have a week somewhere else. Boundary Mill is ok for a browse, never bought clothes there but like it for yankee candles, radley stuff etc,and of course you get a card for free brew!

I wasn't in the mood for fabbing yesterday but I did look at the granny link that Wednesday posted. I probably have most of the items and wear most but instead of calling it a granny list, I'd call it timeless fashion tricks. So, I think women of all generations can wear scarves (not that I have silk squares) and properly fitting swimwear always looks better, just like properly fitting underwear!
There was another list in my paper yesterday. You may not be able to read it without a subscription:
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/past-six-days/2020-06-10/times2/i-wont-be-hitting-the-shops-i-own-the-trends-already-and-so-do-you-bw58fbzl5
but it was about not buying any clothes even when the shops open and what was still 'on trend' that you'd have in your wardrobe. It's really about all you'll need for the very limited socialising you're likely to do for some time. Wednesday is just going to love the first item!!
1. Jumpsuit!!
2. white jeans
3. chunky sandals
4. army jacket
5. plain tee shirts
6. weekend trainers
8. floral maxi dress
9. smock/house dress
10. clogs or espadrilles
11. posh joggers
12. leggings
I'd wear most if not all of those and I do have them in my wardrobe. I got rid of my white jeans but they seem to be back in fashion. Any comments?
It's darkening here and promising to rain. We have a guy replacing a window pane (don't ask!).

Haha, my arch nemesis, the jumpsuit.

SHEILA, I used to like the make up shop at the front of Boundary, n also get Yankee Candles n free brews there.I think it's the lack of room there that irritates me , especially when there's coach parties"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

We've been to Olu Deniz too and Antalya but then found Kalkan and fell in love with the place so now we go back there. I'll send links but can't do them on my phone. 🙂🌞❤️6

lovely place Maman, we visited for a day about 17 years ago. We've also been to Gumbet in the 90s then once to Icemeler, and stayed once in Ovacik. I hope to go back to Turkey again, although it will be hard the first time on my own.

Good morning lovely ladies. All these lovely memories of holidays past. One day we will be travelling again....
I have been looking at cruises....😉. I'm not going to book anything though, not yet. I think at least for the time being I won't be booking trips a long way in advance. I think when I do start going on holidays again I will just look for the late deals.Despite sleeping really well I feel absolutely shattered this morning, lots of aches and pains too. So just going to take it gently today, a nice soak in the bath and some pampering. My son cut my hair for me yesterday. It looks a lot better and should see me through until I can get to the hairdressers.
Just watching the news.......ouch to the economy. 😞. Still I suppose it can only be expected but, nonetheless, worrying times for so many.2020 is turning into quite year isn't it. So many shocks. And it's not even half over yet......
Fabbing might seem trivial in such circumstances but I do genuinely believe that self care is as important now as ever, crucial for our mental and emotional well being as well as our physical selves. At least the weather is going to pick up this weekend. I'm looking forward to some sunshine. 😎6
