Oh bless You all LL ! Your DIL is so so lucky to have you as her MIL , and confidante.
I hope you have a good chat today, as well as enjoying each other's company 😘xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hello Ladies,
LL all you can do is be there as much as possible for your DIL. It is great that she felt able to confide in you in a very open and honest way and will continue to do so.
Make sure that you are also taking care of your own physical and mental health needs as you support your DIL through the coming months.
You have been blessed with both of your DIL's, as they are more like daughters to you and relate to you as if you were other Mother, which is great for all of you including your sons and your grandson.

chanie said:I was hoping you lovely ladies can help me to decorate this wall in the dining room. The wall is a light grey. I was thinking of creating a gallery wall. I have two frames I can use, but i will need a couple more (needs to be cheap). Or, if you have any other suggestions, please send them my way. We may put a small sofa in front of the wall, so whatever we do needs work around that. It's worth looking in the chazzers for cheap frames or even pictures that you can reuse the frames, you could paint an assortment of odd frames so they match.I've picked up some great artworks and mirrors from chazzers.4

I have recently discovered the Artfinder website, might be worth a look for something nice and bright for that wall.
It allows you to buy originals from the artists, there are prints from £20. There are some beautiful works of art on there, apart from anything else it's a happy thing to browse if you have a spare hour.
I can see it being a good source of interesting presents for people as well.5 -
Hello lovely ladies.,....
Well today was lovely. My DIL seemed brighter and she was very happy in my house and the garden. However, I was somewhat dismayed to see just how anxious she became when we went to the park. It was quiet and apart from a few teenagers gathered round the children's play area which we stayed well clear of, everyone was sticking to social distancing guidelines but I could see her starting to panic whenever we saw people on our footpath. I was pushing the pushchair so I made sure to step onto the grass and keep her away from people. So sad to see her so anxious. However she did enjoy our little outing, she said how nice it was.My son is coming over on Thursday so she can work so I'm going to impress upon him the need to ensure she starts going out more. I know he's tried, and I know he hates being housebound because he's always been an outdoorsy fresh air fiend but I think he has not insisted because he didn't want to upset her but I think she does need to be gently pushed. It's not good for anyone to be cooped up indoors for weeks on end.I wonder how many more people are now nervous about going out. I'm sure she's not the only one. Anyway I let her take the lead in the conversation, we touched on things and I let her set the pace. We didn't really get down to the meat of the discussion, but she seemed much more relaxed than yesterday so I didn't push it.Anyway we had a lovely day and GS was as adorable as ever. It's his second birthday exactly a month from now. How time flies.Just watching Alexander Armstrong in the extreme north ......Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland, the Artic Circle.....it looks fabulous. One of my cruise buddies has found an amazing trip to the North Cape next year, visiting many of the same places. It's next July and she has invited me to join her. So tempting. I missed my Iceland trip this year, I do still want to go. It's just that everything is so up in the air isn't it. I guess there's no harm in looking into it. 😂6 -
So glad You had a nice day LL.Anxiety is horrendous, n I think in the current climate it can understandably make people a lot worse
I've had a few wobbles recently, worrying about my friends and family, especially when they went to the protest at weekend
I know the virus is all over the place, but want everyone to do everything they can do to avoid getting it.
Getting out with You n Your Son, will really help her though .
I'm watching Ben Fogel on New Lives in the Wild 😍😘"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

LL I’m pleased you had a nice day with DIL. I think that many people are anxious about going out. Both me and OH have no underlying health conditions and we’ve felt it at times. I can’t imagine how it must feel for your DIL. But, she has lots of support.
Thanks for the tips on my grey wall, lots of helpful suggestions. Home decor isn’t something that comes naturally to me. I’ll take a picture once I’ve finished.5 -
Wednesday.....just clocked the grandma fashion link. I've got and wear every item in the lists....except I don't wear the sweater round the neck thing. That's a bit too "preppy" for me. I definitely can recommend proper structured swimwear, works miracles. 😂.Didn't realise I was so on trend..........😂6

I think I only have a few things on that list. I really cannot wait to get back to the chazzers to get some new things. It's going to be frustrating if they are only allowing two people into the shop at a time, though. That is what is happening in my local shops.
I was wondering why you were posting on here so late Candygirl. I have always had problems with sleep too. I sometimes take melatonin.2
