The one I'm looking at is just a tiddler Vixhttps://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household-appliances/refrigeration/freezers/essentials-ctf34w18-mini-freezer-white-10174909-pdt.html
Probably not the best value for money in terms of cash v capacity, but it's not as deep as a normal freezer so will fit nicely into a space I've got in a cupboard (big cupboard, so plenty of air circulation). The plan is to fill this one up with tubs of meals and keep the normal one for bulkier stuff like bread and bags of veg. Pretty sure I've seen it with £10 off in the past too, so will be keeping a close eye out as my vouchers build upMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I'm on my own and have just cut down from 3 freezers (briefly 4!) to two. I have the bottom half of the F/F in the kitchen and a chest freezer in the garage. I made myself get rid of the two undercounter freezers when I got the new F/F. I still have an extra fridge in the garage which was useful at Christmas. And would be handy for BBQs etc., assuming I'm ever allowed visitors again...6

Honestly, when you're on your own and working full time, freezers are essential. You need to cook when you have the time and energy, and know that at the end of a long day/week/flight you can get a decent meal on the table. No one else is going to do it for you, and if you don't have proper food available you end up eating junk. And personally I get enough of that in airport lounges and hotels...7

Well done on prolific. I get annoyed when I screen out of those as it hardly ever happens!!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I know, that's why I only do Prolific - I can't cope with the others, the screening-out drives me bonkers 😠! I did used to do the Nectar ones though, then decided life was definitely too short for the level of reward.
So, lots of changes of mind back and forth about the best plan of action over the last couple of days. Yep, that's right - I've decided I'm not happy with my plans, having only recently settled on them 😂 I'm just a teensy bit concerned about the credit card payments should SHTF, as they're quite high at 2.5%. This is good in the respect that the balance will come down quicker than if they were 1%, but it does mean they're starting out at £250/month, which might make me gasp a bit if I did find myself up the creek, even with the £10k stashed in the bank (which of course I have now mentally resolved to never touch, ever 😡😂). I did wonder about trying to balance-transfer to one with a lower minimum payment, but decided 6 credit cards is more than enough for any one person to have to keep track of, so I have no desire to raise that to 7. I also want to try and keep things vaguely simple, as I have an irrational fear of causing extra work for someone trying to unravel my finances should something happen to me 😯!
So:
* Step 1: Pay off remaining 10% OP allowance. Already geared up to do this over the next two Fridays and have the money set aside
* Step 2: Hit the credit card hard with everything I've got, so the minimum payment is lower if disaster strikes. To that end, I've paid off c£650 today from money set aside for the mortgage and the now-abandoned future bills fund (as I essentially have achieved what I was aiming for with the money-transfer). It seems counter-intuitive to blast away a 0% debt when the mortgage is 2.58%, but with ERC's at 3% and the real interest savings already having been achieved (c£100/month a year ago down to c£50/month now), there's not a huge amount to be gained from powering through the mortgage instead (which it saddens me greatly to say 😮!). It does mean my mortgage balance will only come down by around £1600 for the rest of the year 😢 but the card should be cleared by the end of the year and then I'm only 3 months away from a new 10% fee-free allowance (which will be higher than it would have been) and ERC's dropping to 2%. Also, the credit card sent me an email instantly after I sent the payment today, confirming that they had received it which was very exciting 😂 and likely to keep me motivated. Why can't the mortgage company do that???
* Steps 3, 4 & 5? Don't know, got a while to make up my mind/change my mind before we get to that point 😂!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
