I'm all in on the OP this month! 😁
If I play my cards right I may even get to the dizzy heights of 1,200 to 1,500 - so there! 😋
(Admittedly that's in pence... 😕😂)If it's not adding up, compound it!6 -
I'm not talking to you lot....😛Well what a week that was....Around 80% of the people in our business have now been furloughed, but I am one of the "lucky" few still working full-time. Can't quite decide whether I am sad or glad about that. I suppose it's flattering to be considered essential right now (although I think the business may have an unrealistic view of what I can achieve), but coming on the back of a pay cut I can't help but feel a bit envious of colleagues at home doing nothing and getting 80% of their pay while I am still slogging away (and now also picking up other peoples' work) and not getting a great deal more than that 😦 I'm sure I'll get over it, but I think I'll probably snap if there is any moaning from them when they come back about how bored etc they've been.No further indication from my boss this week about whether they are reading this, but it's not really been that kind of week 😂! In my defence, I don't think I've said anything on here that I wouldn't say if I was asked a direct question at work - in fact, I definitely HAVE said similar when I have been asked direct questions in the past (I don't get asked any more 😂!), so I think I've been pretty true to my real-life self and I'm going to carry on 😀Was amazed to discover that it's Easter next weekend. Not quite sure how that has snuck up on me, but then I saw hot cross buns in Sainsbury's on 2 January, so I guess it's easy to lose track it when it's been a constant presence for over 3 months! Generally, the passage of time has got a bit skewed I think as I'm not in my normal routine and thinking how great being at home for a long weekend would be - lucky me, I get to do it EVERY weekend instead 😂!Despite having plenty of time on my hands outside of working hours, I managed to miscalculate the amount needed for BF's balance transfer and have ended up with a credit balance of just under £25 😡 Will give them a call and see if they will refund it, otherwise I'm faced with trying to spend that exact amount or just over, then paying the money from my pots to the new card etc etc etc and if my brain can't work out getting the amount right in the first place that is just more than it will be able to cope with!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Decided to carpe diem with the credit card company and they are refunding the credit balance back to me. Was expecting to be on hold for ages as they had dire warnings about long wait times due to calls arising from coronavirus, but just under 10 minutes call time in total and that included loads of time messing about with recorded messages asking if I wanted to record a sample of my voice for them to keep on file for security - not much point if I am closing the account (and all a bit too 1984 for me anyway 😯) Did feel a bit guilty staying on hold to ask for my £25 when they are busy dealing with people in real hardship, but the chap I spoke to seemed pretty chipper.
Now most of the direct debits have come out, £145 of the £450 which I couldn't locate on payday has reappeared and is now safely in the mortgage OP holding account. Not quite sure where the other £305 is, but I think I can see where c£50ish of it might be....did I mention I was bad at maths???Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
