I agree badmemory, I don't like holidays where you could be anywhere and all you see is the inside of an all inclusive complex. Seeing the authentic side of an area can really make you appreciate everything you have at home though and help local economies.
I feel for people that truly struggle, it must be horrendous if you have to choose between feeding your child and keeping a roof over their heads. I hate it though when people complain they have no money for essentials then you see a 50inch tv and every different game console in their house.
I think it must've been so much simpler before the internet and social media when keeping up with the Jones' was literally just the people you knew on your street, not thousands of Instagrammers and celebrities.Mortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years
Re-mortgage Oct 2017 - 78,295 over 23 years
Re-mortgage Jan 2020 - 55,000 over 26 years @ 1.94%
Current Mortgage Outstanding Middle December 2020 - £47893.35 - a reduction of £42,652 in just over 6 years!7 -
Bargain hunter, definitely more simple before social media. Glad I wasn't a teen growing up in the instagram generation.
As for holidays, I agree re. the holiday makers who sit around a pool all day doing nothing but if that's what floats your boat, who am I or anyone else to judge? 🙂
Don't forget that to have priorities is a privilege in itself, it means you're doing more than just getting by. 😀5 -
....And that was the weekend. Seems to have gone very quickly, considering I've been at home for all bar about 90 minutes of it.
Off to bed, let's see what new challenges the next week will bring 😦Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Lovely BF has bought me some groceries and delivered them through the kitchen window 😍 I asked him for 4 items, he delivered a whole bag, which was missing 2 of the 4 things I'd asked for: "There's a few non-essentials in there" - no sh*t! Smirnoff Ice and ready meals anyone??? At least they were reduced to clear! And I am very appreciative of him going (and it was nice to see him 💑), but £32 down and two items missing 😡 At least it has proven I was right to re-assign some of the petrol budget into the grocery pot this month 😂!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Ahhh... Did he take too long choosing the TV?
😂😂😂If it's not adding up, compound it!7 -
Ah, but I bet the TV has served you better over the years than a bag of frozen sweetcorn would have 😂
I do love him, but he's on another planet sometimes!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
