Self-control ladies 🤣!
Bergerac gets a thumbs-up. Although he spent an unhealthy amount of time with his ex father in law. I know it's a small island, but still....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Can I vote for the Pink Panther? As opposed to Inspector Clousseau.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

See now I'm confused. I have it in the back of my mind that the actual Pink Panther was a gemstone, but then Inspector Clousseau got it as a nickname 🤔 Or have I got that completely wrong? The animated character is what comes to mind first though! And the theme tune 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Anyway, back to money stuff....
First of the month round-up....
Movement during August 2021: +£1,383.49Money needed as at 1 September 2021: £275,383.77
I've been feeling quite FIREd up this last month, so I've funnelled a few micro payments into the ISA (then I thought I'd better match that by putting an equal amount into where it's actually meant to be going at the moment, so I ended up leaving myself a bit short 🙄 The One Poll money arriving a few days before payday was very fortuitous timing!)
I've also started off saving for next year's LISA payment with £52.21, just so I had something to put in my "cash" line and didn't have to report it to myself as £0.00 for another month 🤣🤣🤣!
However, all of that pales into comparison against the pension growth, which didn't leave me short at all, or in fact require any input from me (aside from putting the money in in the first place). Am sure there's a lesson in there somewhere....🤔🤣Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

It's so exciting when the investment grows isn't it? Like when you hit a new 10k mark then you get a thrill. I've been told that eventually you get the thrill from the 50k marks only but I am no where near there yet!6

I am all about the cartoon of PP with him slinking around.
Yes great to see investments rise, well done past you!
I started saving hard and put some of my deposit into my S&S isa last year plus my SIPPs after markets fell.. So feeling glad I timed the market & got focused last year.
I am trying to only check my balances weekly or monthly as daily can be an addiction along with my spreadsheetDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
