😂😂😂 surely you're not paying tv licence monthly though?? Doesn't that cost more, or is it the same??
I don't think it costs any more 🤔? I used to pay it annually, but my method of putting some aside every month so it would be ready was one of the things that caused me to get into a kerfuffle with money towards the beginning of last year ("lost" £450 out of my bank account when I came to add a few things up, never "found" it again 🙁) It was ridiculously complicated to switch from annual to monthly - I'm not switching it back now! Would really much rather the BBC switched to being a commercial service and I didn't have to pay for it at all (never watch/listen to any BBC programming), but it's the law so I'm stuck with it....

We have the deeds to my family house and they are beautiful. The thing is made out of thick fancy paper, with like metallic bits to the writing. This is once from the very late 1800s, would love to know what yours look like.

I’m pretty sure it costs no more to pay TV licence monthly - we do and we certainly wouldn’t if it cost more!

That's good news Vix - I didn't think I would have slipped up like that!

Ahh, yes, I remember now. It was very upsetting to start paying for it again only 6 months after I'd shelled out for an annual one 😥!

Glad to hear there's no cost difference with the TV licence!

We had the deeds for our old house when we paid the mortgage off, they were brilliant 😁 They were from 1890, and it was a 900 year lease (50p a year 😂 ) and we were specifically forbidden to set up either a tannery or a steam hammer in the garden 😂 (bear in mind this was a terrace with less than 100sq foot of front garden, and no back garden) 😂 Wish we'd kept them rather than handing them over - I stupidly didn't even take a picture!
