I must re-read it, although I do recall I'm specifically forbidden from beating a mat out of the window 🤣 I wonder how long ago people stopped beating mats?Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I haven't beaten a mat in a while, but I do have a reusable bag inside Henry Hoover so I do beat that outside regularly- makes a right mess and I certainly wouldn't have done it in our old house! 😮4 -
I beat doormats still... usually against the wall of the garage though, so not out of a window or with an implement!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

2%, so jealous!
Especially as it will soon be 0%...If it's not adding up, compound it!3 -
Stop teasing us with your achievements - we all know it will be 0% soon! We have a couple of covenants on the house that mean we can't excavate on the land (basically stopping anyone building an extension) and all the houses have to look the same, meaning we all have to have the same door canopies, we can't paint the brickwork and have to have the same style of door. They were built in 1955 so that's about as crazy as it gets really!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20176
