Nice one! 😊 We won too, but sadly not enough to cover our bets. It's all ‘free’ money though as I don’t remember how many years ago we put the money in for the bets in the first place - usually bet with last year’s winnings and if we have a big win take out enough for a takeaway!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh, that's very restrained - I've cashed out straight away (only £23 winnings from a £10 bet, so I won't be handing in my notice just yet 🤣)!
Random question though.... I couldn't cash out to my bank account without first having at least my £10 refunded to the debit card I used to fund the account (it was a new account I only set up yesterday), so rather than faff with two withdrawals I just asked for all £23 to go back onto to the card. Now though my mind is boggling about how I can get a credit balance on a debit card. Is that even a thing 🤔? Do I just need to spend on the card to use it up? I never, ever, ever use the debit card (well, I probably average about one transaction a year) and only see the card as a cashpoint card - which I've not done in over a year now 🤣 - so not come across this scenario before! If anyone can explain I would be sincerely grateful!!!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

The withdrawal to your debit card will be credited to your current account (in the same way spending on your debit card will debit your current account) xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203

Yes, Greent is right - the card must be attached to an account surely?Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thank you all 😀! That's good about the winnings then, I can just sit tight and they'll appear in my bank 😀 Think I'd got myself all confused, as my available balance is showing as £10 less than it should be (as the money I deposited hasn't been taken off the card yet) but it should be higher as there's money coming back 🤔 This is why I never use the debit card - because the transactions take so long to apply and it messes with my balance! My current account really only gets used for wages in/direct debits out - everything else gets moved out on payday and the balance gradually returns to £0.00 as all the payments come out (all my spending also bounces through there as it gets paid for on the credit card, transferred from the appropriate pot to the current account, then paid off the credit card, but it's literally only there for seconds, so that doesn't count in my head 🤣! Sounds complicated, but it makes perfect sense to me 😀)
I'm contemplating a radical shake-up of my savings/mortgage payoff strategy this morning, just been plotting it out on some scrap paper. Am going to continue to ponder while I have a shower/go food shopping/do my Olio pick-up, and will report back later with my decision!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
