Wish my mortgage statement looked like that!
Amazing progress.If it's not adding up, compound it!4 -
Incredible statement! You had an interesting year last year, but you should be so proud of yourself. It could have been very different and you made the choices to put yourself into the best position possible.
But onto the more important topic. Godzilla. I think people usually call him a he, but there was a movie when I was little in which the twist was that she was a she and had babies.4 -
This is so amazing!! Well done, the end is in sight 🙌🏻3

That mortgage document is a beauty to behold, I think you should frame it! Look at that interest!!
Your diary inspires me, I look forward to overpaying a lot.3 -
Thanks lovelies 😍 Don't despair RC, low interest values are just part and parcel of a low balance - you will get there! Actually, my interest rate (2.58%) seems to be a lot higher than most people on here are paying, although that's been all the more reason for me to get sulky about it and overpay 🤣
And....wait....Godzilla had babies 🤯 Who on earth would mate with Godzilla? How, even??? (obvs I know the bit about when two people/monsters love each other verrry much, but I thought there was only one of them 🤔?)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!4 -
Godzilla is a catch! Mortgage free (cos he doesn't have a house), steady job (monster), buff

Maybe they're fighting because Kong is jealous of all the attention Godzilla is getting...3

Definite love triangle there between Godzilla, King Kong and... ANO..DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

You lot 🤣!
Have to say I'm loving this 4-day weekend, plus all the discussion on the FIREside chats (definitely the most active thread on MFW at the moment - clearly a lot of pent-up demand being released 😀). Going back to work tomorrow is going to bring me back down to earth with a bump! At least I'll have the transfer into the LISA to do so it will feel like I'm doing something useful towards The Future (apart from working, obvs - which I guess is pretty useful for my plans 🤣)
Went for a walk this morning and supercharged it by swapping out some of the distance for a hardcore climb up steps. Legs felt like jelly, lungs screaming, no blood coughed up, so I'll take that as it being good for me overall 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
