Love the pension racing 😂😂 I've got two from different jobs, but I only paid into one for 5 years (mostly part time) so I anticipate the other one is already winning!3

I've got to take the excitement where I can Cheery 🤣! Secretly I'm egging on old-old-job, as I left there through choice and I've still got a bit of a chip on my shoulder about old job (not for making me redundant, but for all the sh*t I put up with before they did!)

Oh I really like mamafurfur but she does sometimes make me think I should be doing more with my money. I'm also thinking of moving over the vanguard in the new year just to get some passive long term income going, even if it's just £50 a month going in, it's £50 that could grow into something.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20174

I knew that bit Ed, it's what it means where I get a bit sketchy 🤣!
So it's mortgage allowance reset day today (can't believe I've been here 5 years 😮 Much better weather today than when I moved as well 🤦♀️) - the 10% payment I had primed and ready has been transferred across. Not really a ta-da moment when it's only £759.56, but better done than not done! ERC's are also now down to 2%, just waiting on payday on Wednesday to shuffle a bit more across. Can't wait to get the mortgage done and dusted so I can get saving for the refurb. Feels like I'll be using my money for my future then instead of my past (I know that's not how it works, as I still get to live here so buying is not exactly something in my past, but that's how it feels 😀)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Hi South Coast,
I've been reading your diary since you left a comment on mine, but it's taken a while as I signed up to a million survey sites as I saw you talk about them! Streetbees is so tedious but I don't want to pass up on those 20p payments!
I've really enjoyed your diary - you've been through a lot in the last year and still managed to make such amazing inroads into your mortgage. When I said I was going to read your diary, you'd said that you'd have to come and post something motivational but your whole diary is motivational. Thank you! Good luck with the rest of the mortgage 🙂

I watched a load of Mamafurfur last night and now also feel I need to be investing! The 'how to pay off your motgage in 10 years' video was very interesting. I just don't know enough about investing and also feel desperate to have a big holiday, probably next year now.2

A SIPP is just a pension you pay into yourself and pick your own provider and investments (as opposed to a workplace one where work pay in a percentage and you do too straight from your salary).2025 decluttering: 3,802🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Ooh, lots of lovely visitors! Thank you all 😀
Chiglepig, you're totally right - all I could see was the 90% that's left, but hopefully not too long for that now. When I make the payday OP I will have paid back what I borrowed, so all that's left is the cost of the borrowing - which makes me even more motivated to get rid of it as soon as possible and minimise that figure!
Sholly, thank you so much for your lovely words 😍 You've not been too shabby yourself though! Sorry for dragging you into Streetbees, at least its randomness adds a bit of variety 🤣!
RC, I must watch some more of her vids, I think it's the name that puts me off. There's obviously some meaning to it that I'm not getting 🤔?
Thanks Jess, I had a feeling it was something like that! Don't think I want any more pensions though, it'll be mini-FIRE all the way for me I think 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
