No one's mentioned popcorn spoons - how else do you get the last bits from your popcorn bowls without getting sticky fingers?
Whilst we have plenty of everything, it's an eclectic inherited mix.
Unfortunately nothing with interesting ends, jealous now...If it's not adding up, compound it!3 -
Jumping in to the cutlery talk - why do teaspoons always disappear? We had a set of 6 when we moved in and now we have 3. I have no idea where the others went. We've also accumulated some additional cutlery over the years, mainly from my old workplace where I accidentally would put a fork or a spoon in my lunch box to take home to wash up because I couldn't deal with the kitchen at lunch time and they just never made it back. I must admit I have a favorite spoon and fork which came into the house via these methods - I just find that they're perfectly balanced weight wise and allow for the right amount of food to be deposited in the mouth.
I'll go back to looking at my spreadsheets now...🤣Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20173 -
I am bewildered by the concept of popcorn spoons? Isn't that what fingers are for 🤔? And I've never "met" any cutlery which is nicer than the set I've got - plus I have a complete OCD obsession about things matching (coathangers are the worst, looking into an empty wardrobe full of mis-matching coathangers makes me feel a bit queasy) - so nothing from anywhere else ever migrates into this household!
(P.S. I am already upset about BF's decluttered plastic containers being mis-matching 😱!)
And another thing....
I know I am out of touch, but when did "to houseplant" become a verb???
