@South_coast Lidl does a fab Chilean merlot if you can’t get the Malbec, £3.89. I admire your guts to move petrol money into an OP, I want to do the same but don’t want to jinx it!5

Hi SC, I've really enjoyed reading your diary over the last few days. Phew, you've had a rollercoaster 12 months!
You're similar to me the way you change your mind between what to do for the best for retirement savings, it's so hard when the rewards are so far away and the goalposts may move, isn't it?
All the best in the new job and well done on the mortgage balance, so close you can taste the freedom!MFW -

Ah, thank you so much 😍 It did get a bit mental there for a while, but I feel much happier and more settled now. I did (another) survey the other day and it asked me to sum up how I feel about 2021 in one word (free text, not multiple choice) - I went for "optimistic" 😀bubblycrazy said:Hi SC, I've really enjoyed reading your diary over the last few days. Ah, OnePoll.... that figures! Has the new platform improved yet? I’ve just cashed out and the new dashboard was so terrible I couldn’t be bothered with it for now. Imagine I’ll go back at some point... especially for cracking surveys like that 😂Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I can also attest that Aldi has a nice Chilean merlot too for about the same price as well as their New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - went through a few bottles of both over Christmas 😏caeler said:@South_coast Lidl does a fab Chilean merlot if you can’t get the Malbec, £3.89. That's ok, it went down very well with some of their part baked sourdough baguettes dipped in their baked camembert 😋caeler said:Thanks @ruby_eskimo I've switched back to shopping at Aldi so I'll keep a look out for that!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20175
