Nice one emsi, what does tying in mean?Is it just sewing the layers at certain points rather than quilting? as you can see I know all the technical terms! I used buttons on my Christmas quilt as I couldn't face hand quilting it.Thanks for the photo,I love to see a photo  <3.
crafting mad your totals are super impressive.Photos ? :D
I have fallen off the band wagon.Bought some wool yesterday in Aldi, half price.I intend to teach myself a new crochet pattern and make a blanket for my son's girl friend. She loves hand made things but can't knit or sew.Neither can her Mum but her Mum is a proffesional painter. There are skills and then there are skills.
Crochet baby blanket should be finished within the next couple of days.
    Stay safe Vxxx

Spot on Vulpix- it's tied on the underside, just little diagonal across where the squares meet. They're so small you can hardly see them (or they're supposed to be! 😂). I have got a quilting foot on my sewing machine, but not up for that yet!

Fab makes everyone, I've just typed out a great long post, and gone and deleted it!  So you're getting the short version now!

Made another set of bunting for our pergola in the garden, will post a pic when it's up.  Also working on my crochet rainbow blanket, it's growing daily!
I only learnt to crochet in January so I'm quite chuffed with it.

Another lovely day today, going to do a bit of gardening before working on the blanket.

And Vulpix mentioned Aldi have half price wool, and I'm not going out!!!

Stay safe, stay home everyone xxxxx

    Hi all,
I'm a long time lurker, but first time posting in these parts, so I hope you don't mind me joining the party late! I am primarily a knitter, but have recently fallen completely in love with sewing, which means that my home office (where I'm currently spending a lot of time!) is crammed full of fabrics, yarns and patterns. I have bought crafty bits this year, but from this point I'm cold turkey as we're in the process of purchasing our first house, and I'd rather pack and move completed projects than lots of WIPs! Socks are my favourite thing to knit, and I mostly sew bags but am trying to move into garments.

I've got a week off work over Easter so my plan is to sew up a t-shirt, and a pair of plain old cotton undies. I'm also in the process of knitting a pair of socks and just have one more toe to finish.

Before we move I'd like to empty at list one of my fabric storage boxes of yarn, and another one of fabric. Not sure how many projects that might equate to, so I think I'll set myself a conservative estimate of 10 projects before moving day - which is looking like somewhere between the end of May and eternity. Looking forward to hearing all about your makes! Stay safe all

Hi Chloe, lovely to see you.I am the opposite to you,old hand at sewing but relatively new to knitting and crochet. I am impressed that you knit socks.I have enough to contend with 2 needles never mind 4! Saying I will complete something here spurs me on to actually do what I say and not start something new. With the exception of 3 kings sewing project that is.
Chris, the blanket is a lovely treat for the eyes.I am full of intentions for my garden too today. There is very little to do tbh.I am at the point of saying I will redesign it which involves moving paths and patio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only made the bloomin garden 3 years ago.
    Vx

Thanks Vulpix, I work on it every time I sit on the sofa, so it's growing quickly.  I too tend to start something new before finishing one, but I must persevere with this one.

Welcome Chloe, good to have you on board xx

I'm hoping this is going to be a no craft spending, stash buster lock-down bonus.
A group of us,all WI members, are making wash bags for scrubs ,simplest out of pillowcases but we've now had donations of duvet covers and sheets! 4 of us made 40 in 48 hours for a student nurse to take with her back to her hospital.
We've now got more sewers and a few good 'finders of unwanted bedding ',and have made another 80. Not bad since original start on Monday.
Our local community hospital will have the next batch, and the ambulance station will have 22 slightly larger ones -their uniforms are thicker.
YouTube  have excellent tutorials for scrub bags.
Wow, well done Mrs Snowy.  Thank you for stepping up and doing all you can.

    Well done Mrs Snowy XXX

I'm going to dig out some fabric and attempt to make some.  There's someone local who works at local hospital who is collecting them.
