    Morning all,
Well, the socks are finished (and on my feet!) and I've cast on a second pair - this time a lacy pattern. Started over three times last night because I wasn't paying enough attention, but finally found my rhythm. Will return to those this evening. Vulpix I'm with you on the needles - I mostly use a small circular needle as I find myself getting stabbed left, right and centre if I try and use DPNs for a whole project.

For today, I am about to start tidying up the sewing room because it's a real mess in here, and then I'll have room to start measuring and cutting fabric. I'm going to have a bash at making a t-shirt (using an old t-shirt as a template) I think.

Thanks to those who are putting their skills towards the relief effort. I am ex-NHS (clerical rather than clinical) and I know your efforts will be truly appreciated.

I'm on 7/52 now, thanks to having to make an emergency sun hat. The sun hats I bought in the sale last year, thinking I was being organised, are too small. Young sir has a head the same size as a 4 yr old, not an 18 month old! I found a free pattern on a Facebook group, and it only took a bit of cotton and interfacing, and several hours of swearing and unpicking 😂
It has spurred me on to get more jobs done- I have assembled some cards, I'll count them when they've had the sentiments put on, and inserts.
I've put the dungarees on the dining room table with the interfacing I'm supposed to add, and then hopefully that will progress.
I've also tidied the craft room and cleaned my sticky scissors, so very productive 24 hours!

Emsi that looks great! Despite saying I was going to clean up my sewing room, it's still a mess, but you've inspired me to get it sorted tomorrow. Today has been spent on the lace socks, after undoing all of yesterday's knitting due to a dropped stitch which I didn't notice for 20+ rounds. Ho hum! I did sew the t-shirt though, and am wearing it now, so I'm up to 2/10 projects! Hope everyone's had a lovely day and managed to get some sun! B)

On a roll- 11/52 after I finished 4 cards during naptime. I've got all the bits cut out for another 6, just need time to stick them all together. I did also do 3 rows of my knitting in the sunshine before giving up and tidying the shed instead. It's too much faff trying to change wool over and keep it all clean outside!
I have cut out the interfacing for little mans dungarees, just need to summon the enthusiasm to iron it, and then I can get a bit more done on those. They're smart ones, and we don't have much call for smart clothes at the minute...!

  • Gosh, you're all doing so well, some fantastic makes there. Sorry yet again for going awol, seemed that when everything went into lockdown, so did I!! However I have been getting some sewing done and getting some stash used.  Have made four book cushions for my sister to raffle for the Scouts, and a dalek cushion for my niece.  Have finished a Christmas stocking that I had started also, so that's another five things and 28/52 in total.  Now planning some book covers to use some more of the fabric lurking here and there.  Want to cut out a T-Shirt this week too.  Do have to admit to breaking the no spend rule though to buy a rainbow bunting kit, though once I have it plan to use some stash to make extra sets, and the shop is making a good donation to the NHS for each kit sold.  Hope you are all keeping safe and well, still struggling to get my mum to obey the rules, I sometimes:o  feel like I'm talking to myself

I have another 4 fully made cards to add to the total- 15/52  :) I tried some colouring markers I bought a while ago, and don't like them :( they don't do what I want (blending and watercolour), they're more for watercolour and calligraphy. My mum has said she'd like to try them though, so she'll have them once lockdown is over 👍

Wow, you ladies are on fire.
@emsi_b , @clodagh_trubble and @magical - I'd love to see pics of all your lovely makes
@vulpix - Love the striped jumper and baby goodies
@loopychriss - The bunting is fab and wow at the crochet - maybe this could be the year I learn

Not a great deal to report, can't seem to settle to much but house is looking tidy, done a bit of baking, all washing and ironing up to date, pottered in garden and planted a few seeds and plants but not a lot of crafting to declare (and no pics - sorry)

8  x Christmas decorations - use lots of scrabble letters and wooden angels etc
Cut out felt shapes to go on a large Christmas Tree for the great nephew's wall - have seen pics and thought I'd give it a go

Also made a start on a biggish job I've been wanting to do for a long time - revamping my dining set.  Saturday saw the base/legs of the table chalk painted and Sunday the top was sanded and varnished.  Will be chalk painting the chairs and once everything is back to normal will be recovering the seats.

Enjoy all your crafting, am a little jealous of the all the rainbow bunting.

    Stay safe!
