Indeed.
What's particularly amusing is that they then star half of it out in the text description.

Mind you, VINs aren't half the state secret people think they are - they're visible to everybody walking past when parked up...
It's also interesting to compare the damage on that CatB with the OP's description on the damage of his CatS. Now, it might be that there's damage to suspension pickups, while the OP's is just panel damage, but that would normally then be CatN.0 -

I think it's a case of the employee who listed it won't be joining Mensa any time soon.0 -

I am astonished that the insurance companies would enjoy dealing with the inevitable NIPs and s172 forms that this would lead to.0 -
Hi Cajef ! thanks for your reply , so what have you done with the car ?
Eventually the DVLA agreed to issued me with a different registration for my vehicle, the police said looking for the cloned vehicle was like looking for a needle in a haystack and unless the vehicle was used in a crime there was hardly any chance of finding it.0 -
It seems someone was breaking that car with that VIN. They have starred the VIN out on the add but left it readable on the VIN plate.

I thought the Copart add had the last six numbers starred out. They're the numbers unique to that car.0 -

They are starred out but there is a picture of the VIN plate in the add with the full VIN showing.0 -
