First shop done on the January budget. £52 spent so far, leaving £98 for the rest of the month.
We did a stock up again like we did at the start of last month so plenty of beef, chicken and mince in the freezer. We also stocked up on Sharwood's jars of Tikka/Rogan josh and Jalfrezi sauce that were on offer as they make a nice easy slow cooker meal on days we don't want to spend a lot of time cooking.0 -
First shopping for the month done, spent £77 in Lidl (would have been a little bit less, if hubby hadn't come... :-))0

Can I join please? £450 (monthly) feels like a reasonable place to start. 2 adults (plus one part time), 2 teen boys, an 8yo, a cat and a dog :-) To include all food, household and toiletries.0

Hi, I’ve just made an account after years of lurking on and off, want to really get my life sorted this year and money is a big part of it so please can I join? If so could you put me down for £250 please?
This is for myself and my 12 year old. I don’t drink and haven’t got any pets so doesn’t include alcohol or pet food but does include toiletries and cleaning products. We’ve already got a lot of food in the house so shouldn’t have to buy too much, I just always seem to somehow spend a lot on groceries considering it’s just one adult and one child and really want to see if I can get it down. Thanks0 -
I've loitered long enough (a year to be exact!). Please may I join with £250 for January . My month started on 28th December and will run to 28 Jan0

Hi all,
I've been very lapsed for a very long time but that whole 'new year, new resolve' thing is here again so I'm in again, initially at £600 a month. i know this is an awful lot for 4 adults (3 exceptionally hungry men and me), cats and rabbits. But it's a start. (another start). As for many people, the cupboards are well stocked so that's a bonus.0 -
Hello,
I'd like to join. I find myself unexpectedly single and DH of 14 years left before Christmas.
So belts will have to be tightened if I'm going to be able to afford everything I need.
So, I have a UC claim in but won't receive anything until the 18th of Jan, I think I'll need to properly set my budget from then.
So, in the interim, I have around £150 to last.
My future budget will be £100 a week, so slightly over £400pcm
There are 5 of us, me and 4 boys (including two teenagers)
Let's see what I can do.0 -

Fortune Favour I'm so sorry to hear your news - hopefully UC gets sorted quickly so it's one less thing you have to worry about in the immediate future
