70% stuff is non returnable so the only returns will be from people who bought in the 50% sale and either no longer want it or subsequently managed to get it at 70%

Not sure who told you this but it isn't true

So when the 90% sale starts those £18 packs of HP bath fizzers will be £1.80,which is about the right price

^^This may be fanciful thinking, eg M&S is very clear that anything with a price of "9" at the end is non-refundable.It wouldn't surprise me if the EPOS is programmed with this prompt for the staff. Otherwise staff time ends up being taken up with this instead of things that shore up the bottom line.

It isn't fanciful thinking, it is actually very true,

    No till prompts come up.

As I have said if you are wanting to return stuff and think the store are going to be awkward ring cutomer services first and get the facts and go quote the reference number

Yep I agree, having consulted the spreadsheet, it's generally 3 weeks (apart from 2017, which was the year it moved to Fridays when it was only a week and a half).

I like the 90% sale, much more hit and miss. Sometimes there's nothing, sometimes there's hundreds of Zoella advent calendars ;) But I very much doubt there'll be anything on that scale this year :rotfl:

    So 21st Februrary?

    Shall wait and see.

I recall that I did, and was told by Customer Services the stores do not need to accept returns of 70% stock.

If it is within 35 days and resellable and you have proof of purchase then there is nothing in the returns policy to block it.

If you are told otherwise ask to speak to their manager as they are wrong.
  • I’ve just taken back some 70% sale items and they took it back fine, I did ask the assistant if the 90% is tomorrow she thought it wasn’t happening this year!!!
  • I think you could be correct about the 90% sale very little left even in the big stores
  • It’s not on buts loads left in Taunton boots
