Who knows, maybe this year will be the last of the 70% sale...
I'm pretty sure they will keep the 70% going - like most stores, they want to shift Xmas stock. But this year they seem to have got stock levels better in terms of less excess, no real duds (I know HP didn't sell well but at least it was across a range, not like the 70+ green Zoella boxes that overtook my local a few years back). It just likely won't be such an event as it has become over the past number of years.
Having it later also means people can't buy so much at 50% then re-buy at 70% and return their 50% goods - if people really want something, they are now more likely to buy at 50% than wait. I certainly did and didn't see anything I'd already purchased at 70% off.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I looked at the cards but they still worked out at 90p for 12. Not much better than the price you could pick up in WH Smith / Sainsburys or M&S - so I didn't bother - they were only for 'spares' so I'll just have to stick to neat handwriting next year or hope O2 resurrect their free app cards.
I missed the O2 Priority pre-Christmas deals too, Priority seems to be going down the pan other than the weekly Nero0 -
About a hundred outside my local store at opening time dashing full length of the store to the one aisle of stuff, within an hour there was little left except Harry Potter stuff. Not much in the Miniclub sale either down to 70%.
No injuries to report and only moaning was about someone inside filming as the doors opened.0 -
I went to Team Valley, Gateshead at about 3pm. All that was left on the shelves were wrapping paper and chocolate coins. Oh and Harry Potter bath bombs. Looks like they'll be in the 90% off whenever it happens. There was nothing I wanted in any of my local shops when I cased them earlier in the week so I didn't bother going out early. Just had a wander in to see what was left - as expected nothing other than tat.0

Just popped in again this morning, and a few bits left;
Zoella planner £4.20 - 2.80; Student Discount
Fearne Cotton doodle book £3.75 - £2.50 SD
Giovanni Fletcher planner £4.20 - £2.80 SD
S&G Brush set £6; £4 SD
No doubt they'll be returns over the next week, which for some reason always occur and i pick up another bargain!
Apparent one staff member got battered and is off work, a lot of complaints have gone in about staff not helping in the brawl (how could they?!) and staff weren't allowed to put anything away as customers complained they took all the good stuff?! ****Holes!0 -

Same here, I ventured out as sometimes end up hitting on something decent the following day either found from behind the till or a straggler that got missed in the warehouse. But nope, absolutely zilch of anything decent to be had!! Mainly bits of tween stuff really.
When I think back to last year there was loads of decent stuff left even the following morning and I still got decent stuff on 90% day. I guess they must've got stock levels massively wrong last year as it was the most left of anything decent that I'd ever known.0 -
The Boots 70% sale made the local paper complete with a picture of empty shelves and broken packaging. Must have been a slow news day!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

Got 2 lots of £10 for £50 shop as i spent £139.
My hands hurt, after carrying it to my car.
It was really off-putting for the first year for me, this year, so was my first bad experience, sadly!
Just no need for the rudeness.
But I do agree with the splitting principle - we often do this when I buy my mum a big Est!e Lauder / Elizabeth Arden make-up gift set for her birthday. If we didn't, she wouldn't get any benefit at all, as she likes to save things "for best" and it would remain unopened.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

70% stuff is non returnable so the only returns will be from people who bought in the 50% sale and either no longer want it or subsequently managed to get it at 70%Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

No7 x Alexander Shulman £5 (No idea who she is - loved it before xmas, so glad to have one!)
Well, I was going to say that she's one of the professional skaters on Dancing on Ice on ITV, but her name is possibly spelt a letter different. However, apparently there's another one who's the editor of British Vogue.
